dva dominates ranked ladder the character just has so much flexiablity in her kit that its really hard to not fall back on in a lot of situations. you can play passively, aggresively, controlled, chaotic, dosent matter you can make her work in almost any scenario. Some people really hate her as a character but she does have counters in every role, and even just playing brig into her bascially cuts half your value instantly.

all that flexability disappears when shotguns like reaper chunk your extremly large critical hitbox and when everything goes throigh your most important ability dm like rein zarya,sigma rock,rocket punch,venture,moira,and mei.

When I use Matrix as D.Va, should I be: Aiming at the enemy who is shooting my teammate? Aiming at my teammate who is being shot? In-between the enemy and my teammate? I assume it's situational, between wanting to deny an enemy or keep a teammate alive, I just want to know what the general consensus is.

Yeah it depends on the situation, also dm doesn't have infinite range, you just need to use your brain.

Are you trying to disable the enemy dmg? Then DM them, Are you trying to protect a teammate from multiple enemies? Then DM your teammate. It depends on whether you’re trying to protect or disable and the number of either enemies or teammates

marking is a term taken from football/soccer, originally termed as 'man marking.' this would be when one player follows another player, effectively 'sticking to their man' and 'marking' that player. the reason this is done is to deny high threat players on the pitch from getting the ball and dominating the pitch, something teams tried to do in the recent world cup against Spain so in overwatch, if i say dva is marking echo, i am saying dva is following echo because she is high threat, denying her space to use on the map.
