As soon as I saw Lucy's character introduced in the trailers I was hoping this was where it was going. The snip of her coming out bloodied but hardened in the second trailer made me so happy. "Golden rule, muthafkr" is one of my favorite lines.

With out Ella Purnell, Fallout would not have been as good as it was. That's how damn good her performance was in it. Ella as well as Walton Goggins give complexity and soul to their characters which enrices the entire show. Only great actors who know their craft can give that kind of performance and Ella is one of them. You can see that with " Yellowjackets" and even the voice work Ella does for "Arcane" and the show "Star Trek Prodigy". Hell, Ella is even good in "Army of The Dead" and that movie was almost borderline unwatchable. I can't wait for Fallout season 2 and I can't wait for another project Ella is involved in with is a limited series called "SweetPea" in which she plays a seriel killer. Thanks Joyce Eng for a great, fun and insightful interview with Ella Purnell.

Katy Townsend plays the voice of "Cait" in F4, and has her own website. I watched some of her acting skits and she performs much better than many others in the acting world. I hope her agent can get her a spot in season two, as well as Felicia Day, who played the voice of "Veronica" in the New Vegas game.

7:56 makes me respect Ella SO FRICKEN MUCH. by her saying NO to the "Hollywood" messed up. I'm so tired of characters and their arcs being diminished by productions going easy on them in a "Hollywood having been through it" kind of way. We NEED to see characters "go through it" visually as well as emotionally to truly believe in their character development. It's not about getting joy out of it, but realism. Far too often in films these days the main characters, instead of going through true hardships, seem to coast through every obstacle. It's boring, it's unrealistic and it's an absolutely guaranteed way to take people out of being immersed in a story. Ella Purnell, if you are reading this, THANK YOU.

Lucy is both likeable and lovable. Lucy grows throughout the first season and that’s due to Ella Parnell’s performance . . . She plays a real female lead growing powerful and yet remaining feminine perhaps a new Connor or Ripley maybe as she’s English maybe even a new Emma Peel . . .

I hope Lucy teams up with the Ghoul as an ongoing duo and they don't just seperate them again after a couple of episodes. I can see him as a mentor figure to toughen her up, and her softening him and making him remember the person he used to be.
@djx71346 ай бұрын
Well they will definitely separate again. It would get boring for them to be together all the time, degrading to both characters, just like how your friends tend to become less fun when they cling to their sig. other 24/7 (or vice versa). I doubt they'll even be teamed up for a few episodes. At least, not consecutive episodes.

6:45 is exactly what makes Lucy a compelling character and what makes Ella a great actress. She doesn't want to be a perfect character and tests her through and through. Imagine another studio, director, or actor's take on Fallout by wanting to make their vault dweller enter the wasteland as a "can do no wrong" and perfect protagonist for the whole show lol. Then it becomes a full on comedy at that point.

When my mother passed I very much had a similar experience, going into a numbed hyper-focused emotional state. I saw the outline of blood and rot from where she lay, the despair and tears in my brother's eyes, and all I could do was send them out to get dinner as I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed. Tears didn't come until weeks after, because I viewed it in a very similar way to Ms. Purnell's interpretation; Crying and emotion come later, after a son's work is done. Thank you Ms. Purnell for your performance and all your hard work, may the journey provided the growth you'll need.

Is it a big series spoiler to discuss the Na*i connection to Vault-Tec that was canon during the Interplay era? Eh, probably. But between that, and the horrors of 1950s Behaviouralist Studies, you find their ethos as a organisational villain.

One thing that bothers me is that if this is trying to fully copy America in the 50s and granted i am not American but i think is supposed be exactly like real history until splitting to a different timeline where bombs dropped, the depiction of Barb.... I mean i think in real America historically a woman of colour would not be in such a supervising /management position in such a big company.And i am not racist but it is called historical accuracy. So this world seems quite different from ours in other areas too cause if by the 50s Coop was a vet and had fought using the previous power suit model history seems very different
