My brothers father in law was on a troop ship off the coast of Japan in August 1945 awaiting the Invasion order. He & his buddies had already survived several Island battles and all believed they would not survive the Invasion. My father in law was also in the Pacific in this time frame on a destroyer escort and may have also had to be involved in the Invasion. Fortunately they both made it home alive and I got to hear their stories first hand. I will never forget those stories or those men, we miss you Brownie & Norm. FLY NAVY!!!

My father had a model of the Fat Man bomb that sat on his desk and when I was 6, I asked him what it was. He told me about Oppenheimer and he became a hero of mine. My younger brother (who now has the Fat Man model on his desk after my father's passing 6 years ago) and I are looking forward to seeing it together

She'd be better if she did something else with her hair instead of a centre-parting and dragging it down the sides of her head. She should stop wearing the Mary Poppins style dresses too.

Goes back to the 40's.. Japan's sneak attack at Pearl Harbor and the subsequent behavior of their military, relative to prisoners of war and non-combatants..Behavior that was so breathtakingly egregious,, it galvanized Americans into holding the entire Japanese race accountable..and at the end,, the Japanese people were totally unaware of how much danger they faced..Truman wasn't kidding..they would surrender, or they wouldn't walk the earth.

My takeaways from watching a few interviews of these two: 1) wikipedia knowledge 2) written in first person

How much anyone drank is never funny to me. My grandfather drank himself to death. Ha ha! Pretty funny.

People think drinking a lot is something to boast about until they get addicted and it affects their lives and other peoples.

Come on Emily. It's Bio-pic (from Biography), not Bi-Opic. What is that anyway?
@CB-xr1eg10 ай бұрын
It's just a different way of pronouncing it. No need to get all pedantic and picky.🙄 When you say Biography you say Bi-ography not Bio-graphy, so you kind of defeated your own argument there.
@costeris3510 ай бұрын
Oh that annoys me too! How did that start!

@@CB-xr1eg Good point, I will now start saying bio-graphy.

What an awful interviewer. Constant "Right?" and "OMG!" and "Yeaaaaaaa!" Almost like there's nothing there for her to contribute. This should be a two way street, it's ok to let them discuss but surely, try to engage with some authenticity rather than the blandness that is presented here.

Maybe a bit harsh - she’s interviewing for Entertainment Tonight, which is a fairly light type of show.
