Before I knew of "Foundation" and it's Psychohistory I took plenty of psychology, biology, and stats. I thought with the large numbers of people one might not be able to predict individual behavior, but should be able to predict the actions if large groups. I never asked a professor why such isn't so. I'm kinda glad I didn't since it would seem like I was just parroting IA. Although I often ideas pop into mind that I later found had already been thought of and popularized.
