@@SuperMisterBamOh I see. No you've confused the offical dollar price and market price. The offical dollar (now at 60k Toman or 600k Rials) is paid to importers only (and only for importing essential resources like food and medicine). Market price, however, is 80k Tomans or 800k Rials. That's what you can buy in market. No, only jobs related to oil extraction and smuggling are paid in dollar's. No one else gets paid in dollars. And yes, if you buy dollars and hold onto them you'll profit alot. I'm from the US and I'd love some freedom too. Over here in the land of the free the average citizen is 3x more likely to be arrested than in Iran. We have the highest incarceration rate in the world by far. Health insurance seems to be a hot topic too. We pay the highest prices in the world yet outcomes in our healthcare system are among the worst in the world. Things are going great here. We also have a higher violent crime rate than Iran and dozens of other countries Americans are brainwashed to think are scary and dangerous. Maybe if our government actually did something for it's people for a change instead of fueling instability and conflict all over the world, for example regime change wars or unilateral sanctions aka economic warfare on dozens of countries at this point, for the gain and hubris of the ruling class, things would be better for people here and in Iran too.

comparing Iranian support for its allies over 13 years (and then implying it all went to Syria) with Oil sales over 4 years is very disingenuous. Saying "no other country has that kind of subsidising" while the Graph shows Saudi Arabia also spends 27% and Russia spends 24% is silly

Except Assad's Syria, these are not "allies". They are non-state terrorist proxies who depend on Iranian money and weapons for absolutely everything and are in effect completely subordinate to Iran's decisions (and whom khomeinist Iran has itself created in some cases). The most obvious of those are hizbollocks who are absolutely hated by 60% to 65% of Lebanon's population yet control the country on Iran's behalf, which is why it couldn't have had a sitting president for 2 years. So these "allies" are just extensions of khomeinist Iran itself rather than some more or less independent polities with a normal alliance agreement. And Iran hasn't been feeding them only for 13 years, more like for 40.

I myself work in the gas industry and I am in the maintenance and repair department of a gas refinery. And in the refinery repairs, we use a lot of European and American equipment and parts, parts from brands like Honeywell, Flugen, Danfoss, Siemens, Schneider, ABB , Copeland etc.... Sanctions only target People not Government !!!!
