Take a person with a high IQ, put them in a Quagmire / toxic / unhealthy work environment - Chances are if that person with the high IQ is emotionally vulnerable with low emotional EQ this person will become overwhelmed and unable to navigate successfully because they don't have the faculties and level of brain function; reasoning, capacity for inside, capacity to regulate, etc. Many people with high levels of IQ are emotionally crippled and therefore not able to optimize their performance to benefit from there high levels of IQ. Hence a crippled person with high IQ might be worse off can a person with average IQ. I work in human Rehabilitation and see many brilliant people severely handicapped and crippled with low emotional EQ. Money doesn't mean Jack when you're crippled in the mind

@@sobersherpa You're absolutely right. I use to identify myself as "smart guy" stashing up two dozen certificates in my teenage, until the death of some family members. Now, I realize EQ is more important and have far more respect for people with higher EQ. If not for such people, those with only high IQ cannot function. In fact I find it condescending and cringy when people try to one-up others by calling themselves "high IQ."
