IQ vs. EQ: What's More Important?

IQ gets your foot in the door. EQ determines how far you go. People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Hi guys! It's me again :) You might have seen me before but my desire to inspire more people is what keeps me pushing to reach out more. We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we just graduated college and were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. I started it out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second one currently under construction but launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

This video is a blessing 👍. I have been advisor working for call centre for last 9 years and i realised now that because I have ability to connect with others emotionally and tendency to establish healthy relationships makes me who I am and shows that I am with high EQ.

Schools need to focus less on boosting IQ - we don't use much of what we learn from high school. What we need is to help students boost EQ. Both are important but too much emphasis on IQ in school. You can spot your coworkers with zero/low EQ a mile away. I love the companies that filter for EQ as part of their recruitment process. It's not hard to teach someone skills or knowledge (yes, you can argue otherwise for certain specialized jobs but think generally) but much harder to teach EQ.

Question : Is it possible for people with high IQ to have low EQ and the opposite? What might happen to a person with high IQ and high EQ and the opposite?

Very interesting subject! I have 2 question: #1 Is it common that people with lower IQ have a higher degree of EQ when they´re born? #2 Is there any research on if people with lower IQ often have other natural gifts? Thanks!

I discovered my EQ is a 135 after doing an extensive 1 hour test. Im blown away. And my IQ is 130 plus. I am blown away. Do you have any tests? By the way I am 56 and a half, so I contribute the number from my street smarts and experience. Plus, I am an Empath, so my social and self awarness and management is near perfect. I am glad that I did these tests during covid. I even outscored Dr, Phil once, 160 EQ.

Search "danish iq test". It's probably more realistic than the average, yet they still deem it "for fun" and not conclusive.

Angel this can not be correct, I dont mean to call you a lier but informing you your incorrect. EQ tests are scored ALWAYS 0-100. As they are scored by comparing the percentiles in various category's. Its much different to IQ tests that dont have a set highest number.

You don't have to be upset about it. If you just realized that you have a low IQ and eq than you should work on your eq to improve it.

Effective Social Intelligence = (KQ x IQ x (EQ / 100)) / 100 That's my take. KQ being useful knowledge. KQ is nothing without IQ and vice versa. They're exactly like voltage and ampere; there's no wattage (power) without both, and their combined effect equals their multiplication. EQ however doesn't matter much comparatively, and only applies to social/group interactions. Learning how to increase it is equivalent to learning manipulation tactics, since it won't become who you truly are.
