That chart is misleading. These figures show how each country spends on their own military. Of its 3.5% military budget, the US spends only a small fraction of that on NATO (I believe 0.5%). The rest is spent on protecting US interests around the rest of the world. European countries, on the other hand, may spend less on their own military (some actually spend more like Poland for example), most if not all goes to NATO. This means that the US spends less on NATO than European countries. I know it's not what you've been told but all you have to do is use logic, do some basic math and if that fails listen to US generals who are/retired in NATO who will tell you the same thing.

Not all European countries are members of NATO.

@@gerardflynn7382 I know. Perhaps I should have specified European countries that are part of the alliance but I thought that was understood. Only those in the alliance are being criticised for not spending more on their own military as NATO doesn't have an obligation to defend those not in the alliance. This is why the Ukraine has been wanting to join NATO and why this was seen as a threat to Russia which led to its invasion.

Now everyone abroad should think twice before signing an agreement with the U.S.A. because every new President comes with a different set of "ideas", and gets out of a commitment without question, but Europe deserves more than this, its leaders look more like cheerleaders of the U.S.A.

europeans collectively decided it was more important to inflict pain on Russia than it was to help their own countries. even after economic disasters, europeans are still wed to this war with Russia. what is perhaps more shocking is europes's full support of their war crimes ( this was the finding of the ICJ...so please don't deletes comments that are facts) Who exactly is supposed to attack europe? nobody wants that mess. Russia was happy to get out of their in 1991! the USSR built and subsidised eastern europe, one of the reasons that went bankrupt.

You raise some valid points about Europe's priorities and the complexities of the situation. It's definitely a challenging balance between supporting allies and addressing domestic issues.

That graph is wrong lol Poland is the leading country in EU considering what they use on defence/military !

This video is very misleading. Germany may be the largest economy in Europe but due to history (1939 - 1945) Germany is legally obligated to keep their military small. Plus the currency in Europe is NOT the US dollar.

Tbh, Trump is a good leader, his all agenda are clear. To make America great again and that's what a leader should do, if Europe becomes scape goat i don't see why not, what's the harm? Every country should look after their own people
