Iv'e seen the last three eras of modern day basketball (including the Kobe era) , and It's MJ without question. He was like a bolt of lightning that came out of nowhere and attacked his opponents with a nightmarish speed and stealth no one had ever seen before. It was unreal, inspiring and hilarious watching him turn the sport on it's head at the time. Watching him mature and evolve over the years was amazing. LBJ is a great player no doubt, truly spectacular but it's MJ for me as far as the GOAT.

I've seen both and for me personally it's Lebron. I've never seen a guy be an elite player with no drop off for 20+ years. Its insane what lebron is doing. Players usually lose some ability as they get older, their impact diminishes and their role on the team shrinks.
