There are 3 on ramps to get into Castle Rock. There are also many places to eat with an abundance Stores for shopping. We have 2 King Soopers Locations, Sprouts, Natural Grociers, Whole Foods,, Sam's Club and Costco is projected to be completed in 2026. I have everything I need without having to travel fat to get. Castle Rock is a great place to live for any generation. Check out the summer events!

Sorry but you must be talking about a different Castle Rock. Because I actually live here and it's wonderful! Yes it's growing fast but many of your comments just aren't true. Traffic on the streets is rarely an issue. Going to restaurants, markets or places like Starbucks is also almost never an issue. The DMV (and all City departments) are amazing! Last renewal I literally walked in and was at the window in 5min without an appointment. The Cops and Fire Department here are extremely professional and actually treat citizens with respect. Sorry I just dont agree with you at all...

As one who grew up in Aurora (6th and 225 area - I remember as a kindergartener watching construction over 6th Ave for the new I-225 highway that didn't go south of Mississippi for a long time) and made Castle Rock home in 2015, I will give my take on this (like it or not). We like the fact that Castle Rock is 10 to 12 minutes south of Lone Tree because we aren't directly in the rat race. We like that bit of seclusion. We have seen tremendous growth, not all of which has been good. Seems like the City Planners forgot to include water usage when allowing more residentials units to be built. Where we live it's very quiet day and night. It's not cheap to live here but it's a nice town. There's always good and bad with every city. Everything I need is within 12 minutes of my house. I like here personally and plan to stay for at least the next 8 years. I've been back to Aurora and can honestly say there's no way I would live there again.

Even when I lived in Colorado Springs (left October 2022, but DO hope to go back in 2-3 years: When (if?) house prices AND mortgage interest rates drop), most people in the Springs didn't really have anything positive to say about Aurora. It's probably not as bad as Pueblo's "reputation" (not sure how the 2 compare exactly) but in the same ballpark, if you will "issues-wise." For me, Aurora is WAY down on the list of "suburb-towns" (around Denver) to live in -- and there are quite a few suburb-towns around Denver OTHER than Aurora to choose from. Part of it was due to Aurora's "diversity" (will leave it at that). Personally, I preferred the Ken Caryl Ranch area, but like most places in the Denver metroplex (Boulder especially so) house prices were beyond my reach...but can say the same for new/newer home prices in most of Colorado Springs, too, given CO is a bit expensive nowadays, and apartment rentals are quite high as well. Wouldn't want to live in Boulder OR Denver really mainly because they're heavily liberal. As for Parker, it's pretty expensive as well. As for Castle Rock (leans conservative), I've been there MANY times (like the Red Hawk area) and I wouldn't mind living there, but again, crazy-high/inflated house prices don't make that feasible. Still, I could tolerate higher prices to a reasonable degree, but NOT the higher interest rates we're seeing now (a $0 down/30-year fixed VA loan is 6.868% presently), as that adds $600-700 MORE per month on a mortgage pay't (for my pricing bracket of "up to $450K" homes) -- don't want to pay that. And I'm just talking about new/newer town-homes/carriage homes, not new/newer single-family/detached homes (too expensive for my income level -- woudl need $600K just to start looking). And no, I wouldn't want to "buy now and refinance later" -- as some real estate agents/brokers advise -- because I'd have to ask exactly WHEN would interest rates drop ENOUGH to make it clearly worth refinancing? Another year? Two years? Who knows...but I don't want to be OVERPAYING by said $600-700 each month as I wait 1-2 years (or longer!) to refinance -- I'd be too stressed knowing I'm "wasting" that kind of money on an over-priced house and inflated mortgage. Not to mention adding monthly HOA or Covenant fees...ALL of which would reduce my monthly discretionary/disposable income (cash on hand) to where it became "uncomfortable." ;-) If I'm able to go back to CO (in 2-3 years) I'll likely be looking to return to the Springs -- not sure Castle Rock has that many town-homes, or even carriage homes newer or being built now. Am in (cheaper) West TX presently using the time here to "regroup" financially to be in a better position to BUY vs. rent in the future...when (by that time) I HOPE housing is more affordable (for most of us). But I need to see mortgage interest rates drop BIG-time first. -- BR

Biggest issue with CR is they took a note from towns like Parker and Highlands Ranch. The city destroyed it's land (zoning is horrible) over taxed its resources (water, electric), poor city management/ elected officials, the police department is a joke (CR has made an appearance with SCOTUS), a lot of Karen's have moved into the area and the biggest issue, 60% of the people around here drive 10 mph below the speed limit cuz they're implants from places like commiefornia. It's sad to see what greed from a few can do to what once was a great smallish town to live in. Side note, our fire department is amazing so there's that lol

castle rock is great for rich snobby racists, no one bikes or walks unless it’s for leisure, no one helps unless it’s a nieghbor or someone from their church. the lack of real community and respect for others is beyond belief, and if there is respect it’s only to those who work white collar. i’ve done a social experiment and it’s very sad how most people in the town treat others who make less money than them. It’s growing more and more grouchy and snobby and full of karen’s who call the police on the most ridiculous things. most people drive cars 15 years old or newer, you have less freedom than any other county or state, you’re not allowed to register a car unless it passes emissions, so those who fought and died for our freedom died for nothing because here you don’t even have it. and overall most in castle rock would rather point a finger, laugh, or call the police rather than actually talk about an issue or help each other. i’ve been here for 20 years and it gets worse and worse every year. very sad and helpless town full of self absorbed, charitable when it only benefits them, and greedy individuals. i’ll delete my comment when the humanity is shown in my home town otherwise. it’s sad i get treated better in other states and towns, but people here won’t even wave hello when they drive by or clench their dog when they see someone with dirty clothes walking by. absolutely disgusting city, and for the few who actually have a little humanity, thank you, you’re the small 20% that still have heart and spirit may God bless this town and you regardless of what kind of person you are
