I have degrees in paper making bookbinding, bookmaking and printmaking and want to remind you that if you want your project to last long-term, it is best to use archival glue. Most glues are harmful to paper.

Our Friends of the Library have a year-round "Booktique", selling nicer donated books, DVDs/BluRays, CDs and more for $1, cash or check. Their semi-annual big sales are probably a better bet for hardback books for crafting, though. Many of those are items that have been discarded from Circulation. Some may also sell (or give away) discarded or donated magazines, newspapers, textbooks, Most Library Friends around the US probably have a similar setup. For some projects, I would still use DT books, because you will be taking fewer allergens into your home with new books.

Most important thing you'll ever read... They will be throw into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears let him hear. Matthew 13:42 In the parable of the weeds Jesus talks about two weeds growing side by side one God's children the other the Devil's. To avoid hell you must repent and believe in Jesus son of God. Jesus died for you live for him.
