In Brazil we have drains on the bathroom - not only in shower area - and we do the scrubbing thing with the broom all over. It's a staple for cleaning, we learn it from early age, so it's funny for me seeing you guys raving about it 😄 We also do it in the other rooms, like living room and bedroom. We scrub with the broom/soap, then water, then squeegee. It's the most effective cleaning ever. For some kind of flooring, we buff it with dry soft rag wrapped around the squeegee. I loved seeing my porcelain floor looking like a mirror. 😍
@k.anderson5039 Жыл бұрын
I have always wanted this to use wet brush & squeegee the water on floor into drain. I know it gets cleaned better. I notice places in Europe also have floor drains. America also has the bathroom stalls with 1/2 inch gaps so you have no privacy so we don’t do bathrooms well. Part of me wonders if we don’t have floor drains because some people thinks it’s not modern, classy or aesthetically pleasing. It makes cleaning faster & more effective but maybe when most women didnt work they had more time to clean. Now most people women don’t have the privilege & we need all the help to clean faster & still do a good job. I notice in other countries the entire bathrooms is tiled to ceiling which is great for cleaning too. Older bathrooms are often tile up to mid wall which is so good by the toilet but now most people just pee on the wall so it’s always going to be smell & never all the way clean on porous surface

1. omg, the microfiber towel glass cleaning idea is so brilliant. My mirrors are so tall I couldn't get to the very top without a step stool. Kinda mad that I never thought of this before! 2. Another thing to add to the puppy pad at the bottom of the garbage can--I add 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil, and even if something stinky goes in the garbage, you only smell peppermint. It is helpful if you have barely anything in the bag and don't want to waste the bag taking it out to the outside can, but you don't want to smell anything when you open up the lid to put more garbage in. All you get is the Peppermint smell.

When I was in my late 20s, I had a friend who was an elderly Australian, she was married to a full blooded Cherokee. They had an acre of property, and half was a vegetable garden. She raised and sold all different colors of canaries (her nickname was "Mary Canary). At that time, my daughters were little (they are now in their 40s, and I am 68).She made your "fairy bread" she called it "tea party bread" she said they served it at tea time. She made it for my daughter's and gave them a little demitasse cup of cooled tea with it. They felt very grown up, learned to respect fancy china cups and it kept them quiet and occupied so we could visit.

Omg I've been using the boot trays (utility trays) for YEARS under my pets water bowls!! After nearly busting my behind and breaking an ankle slipping on water on the tile, this has been a GODSEND 😇🙏🏻 Tried towels and other absorbing options, and find that these work best! (Though, I paid between $10-$15 each 🙀🙀.. from Lowes) These also work great outside the litter boxes! Super easy to clean off 💗💗 Great ideas friends, thanks for sharing!! xo 😻😽

An old boss I had said when he had someone drop in unexpectedly, before opening the door, he & wife would wave a Pine Sol soaked rag around the house to make it smell like they had been cleaning. 🤣 and this was 40 yrs ago, so this hack has been around for a while. 💜Love your videos!! 💜💜

I love your hints. I always shop the Dollar Tree. I bought white plastic pails that had little plastic handles on them. I cut the handles off and planted my huge aloe vera plants in them. They look like expensive planters. I wish I could send you a picture of them.

Yes!!! I have used the shoe mat hack for years now and it works wonderfully! We now have a German Shepherd 1-year old that makes a mess with the water and it collects into the shoe mat and contains most of the mess! It's fantastic!!!

I'm glad I saw that hack because I used that pet mat and it's not good. It ended up warping up and breaking with the water.

When I was in juvie back in the 80s they used a broom to clean the bathroom floors. Yes I was a problem child lol. Thank you for all your tips. And you are enough too. Oh on that broom and dustpan hack I would e6000 and 2 combs so it went across the entire dustpan.

I pour a splash of pine sol in the base of my toilet scrubber keeper! Not only does it help with any smells and disinfects it long term... It also smells great for days!

When I was a little girl (in the 60s) my mom would make me the same treat she enjoyed during the great depression. Buttered bread with sugar sprinkled on top! Not as colorful as fairy bread but pretty delicious!

Yes! Aussie fairy bread is very popular at kids party’s. Mix it up with other sugary toppings. My favourite is jelly mix, collect the rainbow 🌈

My favorite one is The Dustpan/comb hack ill be doing that one👍.Waxing shower 🚿 doors is great as well just dont spill any on the tub floor 😬.I have used hot candle wax to seal high moisture bathroom seam areas,so wax is great for spots where toughness is not as important.

I love DT small containers for my craft supplies! I keep tiny mirrors, crystals, little gems of varying sizes, etc. I keep them upside down in drawers so I can see what's inside, vs right side up w/labels. If I can see what's in them, I'm more apt to use w/e, as I visually skip past labels & choose what I see. I also love mini canisters to display on shelves. I found little glass containers in the shape of the plastic DT cookie jars. They come full of tiny diamonds. So, I took those our, & filled them w/different sizes of pearls. Just adorable!

I love using the small snap boxes for storing my earbuds (2 pairs) and the stupid usb-c that I need for the one (and nothing else in my house yet). Makes my smaller items easier to find/not lose

Thank you SO MUCH for telling us about the hack for tucking in the sheets!! I have arthritis, bone spurs and torn discs in my back and I've had to have my son make my bed for me for years, because tucking in the sheets hurt too much. I had one of those plastic cutting boards, tried the hack and I can make my own bed now!! That might not seem like a big deal to an able bodied person, but for me, it means more than I can put into words.

It was a big thing in bird forums a few yrs ago to never ever let birds near those pads...the "fiber filling" in them is apparently fatal if ingested by birds....not telling u how to care for ur birds, just passing info along..

Great video, one of my favourite little tricks is to use the cutting mats in the kitchen section to hold up my long thigh high boots with a socket or ankle length stocking over the top to prevent spiders from surprising you by being inside your boots. As an Aussie, Fairy bread was very common for birthday parties and using either a cookie cutter or sandwich cutter you could shape them into fairy wings and sometimes mixing chocolate sprinkles with the rainbow sprinkles makes it tastes even better.

I can tell the different production and presentation improvements you've made that make your channel more polished, but it's still the same positive, creative, personable down to earth you. With the high angles in this video, I thought you had a drone for a minute haha. Great camera work Charlie! I love this video features hacks from viewers. Audience participation and engagement!

I can personally recommend the hack using a boot/shoe mats for pet food and water. We also use a puppy pad liner on it so that clean up is easy. Wouldn't recommend doing that if you have actual puppies in the house or small dog that's housetrained but we have cats and works wonders!

My mom’s place is right on the Intracoastal Waterway and the entire back of the house that faces the water are huge, long panes of glass… she has a heck of a time getting them clean (and she is of retirement age, so probably not the best thing for her to be climbing the ladder to wash those windows). I’m going to tell her about that window/mirror washing hack!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!♥️🥰
