Niche cars are never good for “flips” always take used cars to mechanic shop BEFORE you buy. They will pressure test, but it on a lift, check suspension, etc.

They are great flips for people who specialize in these particular types of vehicles with experience to back it up. Not for your average 20-something dude with basic mechanic knowledge.

this has nothing to do with car flipping itself and everything to do with your ability to diagnose issues in a car instead of just replacing things until it works

I am showing the avarage Joe's chances of successfully flipping a car. I am a literal mechanic (a lazy one tho) and it still took me for ever to find the dumb Issue on a car That was sold as "running". Showcasing the scamful world we live in.

After craigslist went away, the scene got way too annoying. Marketplace is a disaster. The glory days of flipping were the early 00's.

A simple check of the ecu codes in the very beginning would have saved you all that extra hassle and expense. I work extensively with K series and B series and know that on an 8th gen SI timing that far out would definitely trigger a check engine light.
