My new problem is failing to reintroduce “pest” snails to my aquarium. I had hundreds, maybe thousands in my 55 gallon. I didn’t like having so many, because it just looked bad. Every inch of the substrate had a massive cluster of snails. I started getting assassin snails, but I would lose track of them so I thought they were dying. Eventually I noticed, the substrate becoming topped with a nice layer of empty bladder snail shells. Not a single one left alive. And upon recent discovery the assassin snails have been breeding in the tank. I started with 3-4 now I know I have at least 12 that I can easily spot. Every week, I add a batch of ramshorns and bladder snails, but none of them ever make it anymore. Guess I need to start collecting the assassins

I, too, recently had an order of plants that came in, and a week later, the Rams horn snails appeared. They do not touch the plants. I had nerites, but they like to go on treks outside the aquarium.

Oh man I just bought some Amazon swords and I could start a rams horn farm, in a month because of them lol My assassins are looking fat lol
