Im keeping my BMW X5 E53 4.8iS V8 automatic thanks, I've converted it to run on LPG and it's so much better than petrol, I've fitted an id4motion instrument cluster, a new xtrons head unit, new ignition coils and plugs, nee ignition switch, tinted the windows, 4 new tyres, new heavy duty battery, new steering components, new brake pads and discs, new brake pipes, fixed the common oil leak, and now I'm having the timing chain changed! My X5 is without a doubt the best car I've ever owned and it's only going to increase in value too. And a new no advisories MOT!!!!

Why change the timing chain on an N62? Not an issue on these

I'm looking at one of these, did they make a manual with the facelifted e53? I've only seen pre facelift manuals which I'm wary of because I've heard the post FL are more reliable, better tranmission etc. Any idea of the mpg?

the thing with the headunit pixels tho.... i saw a video on YT the other day where a guy took a electric lighter zapper, you know thos piezzo zappers, and put a wire on the other end witch he then held onto the pixels while zapping, and they came back to live. Maybe you wanna try it? In my e85 all the pixels work, so i can not try it myself

Its too heavy, manual 540i was too heavy for V8 too unless you had an M5, but 2003 M5 different story.
