This video explores the benefit of the L-Sit and its variations. The L-Sit is a simple exercise on paper, as you're actually just sitting down with your legs slightly raised. However, there's a lot more depth to it!
L-Sits are not only a fantastic isometric exercise for the core - meaning you're holding a pose rather than working through a range of motion - they also require "compression strength." This is your ability to fold your body in half, which requires a combination of core strength and flexibility in the hip extensors. The result is better movement and performance across the board.
What's more, the L-Sit trains straight arm strength, it has lots of easier and harder variations...
