That is a good point. I think that his party (Nuevas Ideas) has a good pool of talents, but not sure how cohesive they are.

This is the question in everyone's minds. I think el salvador needs 2 more terms out of him. If a generation ranges from 15 to 20 years, then perhaps it would be wise to raise this new generation under bukele's leadership so that they only know and understand peace, justice and God. So that any other way of life is undesirable and foreign to them. So that only great leaders come from them.

The ccrime rate in many U.S. Cities is actually much higher than the Cities report. For example, some cities have simply changed how they accumulate statistics so they look better, like not counting the crime if no one was convicted or the criminal were released.

Some of the pros sound good, but you have mislabeled the weather as a pro. El Pital is a mountain. Nobody lives on a mountain. The "mild summer" in Santa Ana is labeled as humid, muggy or even oppressive depending on the hour of the day according to the website weatherspark. It is only comfortable or dry in winter at a time when you are likely asleep. Same goes for San Salvador. More generally it describes pretty much all of central america unless you are a hermit living on a tall mountain. You cannot just list temperature and ignore humidity when talking about comfortable weather. To other readers, lookup Dew Point temperatures on weather spark to find out how comfortable a place really is. Only looking at temperature or only looking at relative humidity is often very misleading. It is the combination of the too that is the difference between having sticky feeling skin all the time (or worse) or feeling dry/comfortable.
@the_expat4 ай бұрын
"You cannot just list temperature and ignore humidity". Fair point, as a Latin American myself I should have paid attention to that. Thanks for the comment!

@@the_expat I am currently experiencing 78 F dew point (what weatherspark refers to as the highest level of discomfort - Miserable) in Boston. @@Globetrotter-jz2uw I am currently looking at Arequipa, Peru. I have been in Ecuador for a half year during the last year. But other than Ibarra, it is either too hot or too cool (or too dangerous depending on where). I would keep staying in Medellin but Colombia seems to have shut the door on me for no reason anyone can tell. But for other people any of those three countries has cities with MUCH better weather than just about anywhere in SE Asia (even Baguio). I haven't been to Cuenca, spent all my time in Quito. I think people should consider it. If Peru doesn't work out I will put Ecuador back on my list. Concerning the topic of this video, Peru has the 2nd lowest murder rate in Latin America after El Salvador. Maybe Ecuador will get there as their president seems to be at least partly emulating El Salvador's president on crime.

It's also very safe these days on most of the islands after years of murdering drug dealers !!! > Old people don't need the aggravation of learning a language and the frustration of feeling isolated - unable to read menus business signs......while - the Philippines offers up to 70% lower cost of living than the US average ! --?-- I am very happy for the people in El Salvador - I really am - I just don't speak their language -- and -- 'they' don't speak mine. Inflation will rise the more people that move there - already housing is becoming an issue as the desirability increases. Happening in the US as people migrate to more desirable states - it makes them more expensive - creating shortages - and they are then less desirable ? 🤔

He encouraged citizens to do the same and many did. That's how he was elected President !!! = Now - the prisons have a few but many were murdered and fear has kept it w/o drug dealers ! - - - Some 400,000 US expats are living on several islands - retired - some digital nomads and students. Many more English speakers from the UK - Canada - Australia - New Zealand - Ireland....... you get the picture. Many single people are quite content with $1000 / month. Some prefer a bit more especially a couple nearer $1500. Naturally more extravagant spend much more - but a considerable number appear satisfied with under $2,000 / month - unless for a family.
