Ev fires are also lithium fuelled and sometimes are not even put off for days at stretch especially EV s with over 250 KWh of battery capacity. Bro revolt is still good. I didn't heard any of cases that revolt bikes are caught in fire 🔥🔥. Company should give some safety features for the ev, like battery temperature monitoring, power cut after collision, sudden battery discharge after collision, charging alert. If manufacturers design a safety features which is specifically for ev than this cases could be reduce. One important things for those people who have ev now days keep your insurance renew. I would not advise buying an EV at this time: 1. Battery Technology 2. Availability of charging stations 3. Range 4. Safety issues with parking, temperature, crash survivability, etc. These things are a threat and are rather dodgy. Coming to lithium battery fire, those are guaranteed runaway and cannot be put off without significant efforts. Maybe 4-5 CO2 extinguishers could put out a fire in an electric scooter but a car: no chance. Water makes it worse as it is a participant in the highly exothermic runaway. Imagine if such a thing was parked in your complex, or it just decided to catch on fire one day when you went to fetch groceries. Oh, and these fires are instantaneous and extremely violent. They don't need much to complete the fire triangle. Plus some of them could set up thermite couple with the chassis, so good luck putting out a fire like that. I don't understand what is there to investigate: come up with some fake report to warrant EVs with a list of precautions? Or more dark in the name of 'promising' technologies? Anything that needs such a high electrical energy would come with risks. Automotive is not the place for experiments like these. Cars crash, they go out in the rain, stay in the sun, people do stupid things with them: doesn't mean that they will start to catch on fire.

Electric vehicles are good in cold countries. Even if the battery heats the external temperature helps it cool.there the outside temperature ranges from 1 - 2° C in winter to 25 to 29 °C in summer. In India the battery will heat up and the outside temperature is also high.

Batteries are best charged between 20 to 80 percent only for most efficient performance and keep the battery cool.( vehicle cool like in shade or don’t use in much hot conditions) Heat is the main enemy of battery

Its not the problem of lithium ion, its problem in engineering and taking more than its capacity. Its better to buy a vehicle with less range and top speed, but its history should be fireless, as Ather, Chetak, Icube instead of Ola & Pure EV and Tata cars are aslo great example.

Why not go for plug in hybrid, where at a speed 10 to 50 Km/h the vehicle runs on battery and beyond 50 Km/h the petrol engine takes over. All cabs in Singapore run on this technology.

Personally I own a Ford figo petrol, yamaha r3,yamah ray z, I will never have time to charge the batteries every alternate day, nor I can depend on electricity board, kya Faida if there is power cut and keeping the vehicle aside without using it, batteries ki life Kam hoti jaayegi, it will always jeopardize the situation, Maan lo kahin hill station pe ya raaste me charge khatam ho jaaye tab, mai itna bekar shauk nahi kar sakta, commute should be hassle free, liye aur nikle,itni nautanki mujhse nahi hogi, petrol agar 1000rs liter ho jaaye, tab bhi I will buy a petrol. We are using mobile phones, laptop , shavers to very close to skin without any concern . EV are safe too but to cut production cost or accelerate production there is some lag & no standard were set for electronics to control in made . Once we get the standards for proper limiting Li ion batteries charging & discharging ( temperature control ) it will be safe as other gadgets

It simply cannot because a lot more oil is burnt and waste and carcinogens produced than lithium is. Plastic waste itself comes from oil. That is killing our land and sea... It's everywhere. 1.Comparing nexon ev with Ola scooter. TAMO has better engineering team and quality control and testing than Ola. So Nexon ev has lower chances of catching fire than Ola scooter 2. Comparing Nexon ev with tesla TAMO has sold very low nexon EVs compared to tesla.

We are test subjects for manufacturers like medicines for doctors, they dont know how meds are efficient till they are tested, likewise evs are tested but in limited situations by manufacturers, but owners do ise them for daily life and damage is their own fault?
