I used to run around Guayaquil back in the late 80’s. It was one of the most hot and humid place I can remember, next to El Choco, Quibdo Colombia (the worst). The place I stayed at had no AC and only one faucet for the shower….room temperature! You sweat all day and sweat all night! I eventually got used to it, but it was miserable. I ended up buying a place in Quito, from Japanese Oil men! Lmao! Seriously! I wish I STILL had that place! It was gorgeous! This was back when we still used the Sucre as money! I still have some of those bills! I moved on to Medellin, Colombia then on to Costa Rica…recently sold my place in CR…

It has a bad reputation for its bad neighborhoods but i haven't seen any bad news about the nicer neighborhoods. I had absolutely no issue in the 2 days i spent there in 2024 with Nataly

That's Samborondón. And it's not part of Guayaquil. It belongs to another municipality.

It sounds that Guayaquil has a bad reputation and samborondon is extremelly rich in relation to the whole Ecuador

@@21jfreloNot really. There are very expensive neighborhoods in all Ecuadorian cities, as in any city in the world. The actual town of Samborondón is small and really not wealthy at all. But many modern gated communities started to develop on the town's periphery, which made Samborondón now to be considered a place for people with money. But the actual town of Samborondón is not.
