@@shrimpshrubbery7664 Kyalami won’t host an F1 Grand Prix (for now) and here’s some reasons why: 1. If a track want’s to host a race in an official FIA competition, it need an FIA grade, this vote decide how secure is gor the highest class (the F1), more higher is the number, more competitions you can host. For host an F1 race you need to be grade 1 track, if you want to host the tests of F1 you need do be grade T1 track, unfortunately, Kyalami is just a grade 2 track, i think because there are some dangers into turn 1. But this number can be changed, for example, Turkey in July 2020 was a grade 2 track, but it host an F1 grand prix, the FIA change it in less than one month, so there is a bit of chance that Kyalami can host an F1 official grand prix. 2. If you go on the list of the grade 1 FIA tracks, you can see that there are some tracks that are grade 1 tracks, but they don’t host an F1 grand prix, that’s because F1 didn’t need to race there. For example, the Chang circuit is a grade 1 track, but F1 don’t race there because it won’t help the F1 marketing, that’s because F1 build tracks in rich places, for example Jeddah. But there is a bit but a bit bit of chance that Liberty Media is interested to race there, but, like i said, is very less the possibility. That means that F1 can race at Kyalami, but if it happened, it will happened at least in 10 years...

Key takeaway from the races in 2020: Drivers love a classic, flowing circuit with elevation changes & multiple lines through corners. (Which Kyalami kind of has from what I've seen in racing games) FIA: Ignores all that, opts for a night race to be replaced in time by a Tilke insomnia cure.

On Rosberg's channel, he asked where should we race that we currently don't. I commented that Africa was missing! I stated Morocco and Sth Africa were options with Sth Africa being the better option of the 2. I would absolutely love to see it happen. None of the drivers like China, Russia or the Abu Dumbi circuit. We can thank Eccelstone for F1's current calendar which lacks European classics and venues which benefited him above all others. And the song on this video was great!!!

As a South African, I'm really hoping and feeling quite optimistic that Formula 1 will finally happen at Kyalami I mean we hosted the Kyalami 9 Hours successfully last year, WRC is hosting a round in Kenya next year and the fact that we were supposed to host a WEC race next year (hopefully in 2022), I think we are on the FIA's radar in terms of hosting an F1 race and I can't wait for that day to happen
