As a person who mains Fang as their fourth main and a Fang master, I agree. Everyone's saying Fang takes zero skill but there's a lot of combos and things you need to be aware about, and you listed most of the tools you need when you play him. I think the main reason people are saying he takes no skill only because he was meta for a few months and his Hypercharge.

One time i got into a little argument with a Guy, i tried to explain my "judging" of how skilled a brawler is with skill floor and ceiling on 10 - 1 point system, i used fang and Colt as demonstration, i think i Gave Colt a 9 skill ceiling and 6 skill floor, and fang i gave a 8 skill ceiling and 4 skill floor, most people agreed but then a guy came and said that fang is 4 - 2, and Colt is like... 10 - 10, which was certainly wrong, the guy said like... 3 hard things about fang and then he explained the ENTIRETY of Colt, i tried to explain a bit, but then i got a little bored so i just stopped lmao

imo fang is all about maintaining his chains, recognizing when and where to start them, how theyll go etc. ofc combos are important, but once you play him for long enough itll almost become an instictual thing to do, but always trying to visualize chains etc is really hard- most of the time you dont even want your supers to chain because it can get you killed and youll be bursted down while traveling with his dash so usually its more worth to go for isolated opponents, sometimes just using it solely for movement might even be more worth it. im negl if you really want to be good at recognizing these patterns fast, id recommend play a lot of minesweeper, if you want to do harder maps (depending if the client you use lets you to do so) fast you have to recognize patters etc insanely quickly. this kind of helps you to get better at fangs main mechanic, which is the chaining. i love my budget lee sin

Honestly the only thing that makes fang "easy" or "no skill" is that his super auto chains making it so you don't have to aim in most cases after hitting a target, but now with all his hc nerfs he's become so average compared to other assassins like buzz that only good players can make good use of fang against other good players without just feeding them supers

As a fang main I've always loved how he could chain off a faster second attack using his gadget, and this video taught me about faster super charging by kicking your shoe beforehand. Skill or no skill, fang has gotta be one of the most fun brawlers to use when you successfully pull off these combos

5:10 just wanted to point out that if you hit the enemy with the first attack from the farthest point of fang's melee (not shoe) and super fast enough, the first attack before the super is able to charge the next super, meaning that instead of having 3/4 of a super charged at the end of the combo it will be charged again completely meaning you can use it to finish off even higher hp brawlers (up to 12960 hp)

As a Fang enjoyer, hes not quite my main, but hes close. Somehow, i maxxed him out and got both star powers and gadgets. In ranked(above diamond) its important to use the right build against the right brawlers. against damage dealers, i use divine soles. against low health brawlers, i use fresh kicks. against assasins, roundhouse kick, and against healers, the minefield popcorn thingy.

Man, I’ve got to say, I used to be the biggest Fang hater on earth before watching this but you now have completely changed my perspective on him. My main gripe with him was how he can effortlessly get teamwipes, but once you explained how you can do it I changed my mind on that. You’re right, I should be “rewarded” with a team wipe for playing my cards correctly I mean, all brawlers are capable of wiping a team with a single super right? I also though that his fresh kicks sp was op but it actually takes a lot of skill to use because you need to wait till they’re low hp, and you need to keep in mind that his super normally takes 4 WHOLE HITS to fill which is waaaay too many if you ask me. You’re whole section on the many combos you can pull off with the stun gadget I was like oh yeah it really does take a lot of timing and game knowledge to tap the attack button and gadget in order to clutch every 1v1 against almost all brawlers. Also thank you for that tip on not using your super at low health, no wonder I kept dying lol. Anyways tysm this video really opened my eyes on this brawler

As a fang main, he’s right in the middle when it comes to skill. Charging your super with your shoe is the main way to go so close range combat is very rare to have. That being said, it is super kick gadget kick kick after that

I see fang like this. You can play 80% of his kit with no skill. And 20% is locked behind combos. A brawler having skill depth doesnt make them skilled. For example , stu. Stu has lots of depth. His super is really unique. But stu can be picked up and mastered within a month. Stu really doesnt have a ending point for skill. He has endless combos and tricks and jukes. But it doesnt make him the most skilled brawler compared to nani or somethin. Stu is still very skilled. But it doesnt take alot to get the fundamentals down. Same with fang. Fang has lots of combos but they arent really needed unless your playing high. So in conlusion. Fang brain dead bozo.

I always thought that the best brawlers in the game are the ones that are both easy to play and skilled, just like fang: take Edgar for example, he's known to be one of the easiest brawlers to play, because his game plan is basically charge super, use super and kill enemies, then repeat, making him an effective Noob Stomper, but in higher trophies he instantly becomes pretty unviable because his only effective playstyle isn't effective anymore. Then there's brawlers like Mortis, who is known to be one of the most skilled brawler in the game, that is nowhere to be found in low trophy matches because he simply isn't great as a brawler, that's why we commonly see him in lower tiers in tierlists, but then why is he so much played in high trophy games? Because he's very versatile, and has lots of differents gameplans, so that when something goes wrong or he simply gets a bad matchup with the enemy brawlers at the start of the game, he isn't totally screwed up like an Edgar would be. His best matchup is obviously throwers, they are really easy to kill and have little capacity to defend themselves at close distances, but he can always "hit and retreat" to get super without dying in case the enemy team has a Shelly or Bull, or he can still carry the game with a good old dribble in brawlball. That's why Fang is theorically one of the best brawlers in the game, being both a Noob Stomper and a high skillcap brawler

The skill argument in brawl stars is wild lol. What even counts as "skill" in this silly game with 4 buttons and some joysticks? Marksman brawlers are no skill because 90% of them can just bail out of any situation (piper, brock, angelo) and the rest of them can really mess you up if you get near them (both of bea's gadgets and Nani's super💀) . Most tanks have a brain dead play style of either being very aggressive, playing like an assassin, or letting other brawlers hit you for your super. I play so many brawlers and I can't seem to figure out how they can be considered skillful. Penny is one of my favorite brawlers but unfortunately she requires little skill to play because of her salty barrel gadget and the explosion star power. Nita and colt are also brawlers I play and I find it very easy to counter assassins even without my super and without a star power. The game has gotten to a point where I find Edgar to be way more skillful than half of the brawlers in the game. Lily's gadget, mico's super, kit's gadget, piper 💀 mandy's super and gale's tornado gadget all take 0 skill as you just click a little tiny button. I've seen Gale players kill multiple hypercharged Edgars by just going into a corner and using the green button. Don't even get me started on Surge, Emz, Spike and Draco 💀
