@rebeccamaria63 I've been enjoying the ideas of Jennifer Roback-Morse lately, and one point she makes is that childlessness is like the price of entry into professional jobs (like academia, journalism - the idea disseminators). Probably not on purpose, it's just that in order to complete the degrees and build those sorts of careers usually means delaying starting a family, maybe until it's too late. So the nature of those fields tends to exclude family oriented people, so we're less likely to hear that perspective in the news and universities. - That's not to deny your point about some outright anti-family ideologies out there btw! Just offering another factor that makes sense to me.

Q Women were pushed into the workforce by feminists.....and feminists were encouraged by the elites.....more people working, more people to tax. They also allow no fault divorce and more single motherhood. More homes, appliances, etc. great for corporations to make money.....horrible for kids. Statistically children from single mother households have the worst outcomes. But that’s okay, they can make money off them in the first profit jails later in life.
@yesenia3816

@Q I'm sorry you've experienced such harshness by men. I used to believe the same. Yet, I've since learned that feminism was started with those lies. Just like the wage gap. Feminism is not about being equal to men. It's about having power over them. I don't see feminism fighting for equality in Muslim countries. I don't hear of feminists protesting against child sex trafficking. Feminism is about power. Do I believe a woman should have the right to choose her path? Wholeheartedly, I do. Yet, I will never call myself a feminist because feminism has been one of the great catalysts for why our country is the way it is. And, I would say it is the sole purpose for the destruction of male esteem. No thanks. Give me my macho man. Give me my foo foo clothes. And, give me my place as the woman God designed me to be.

I’m guilty of it in the past myself. To look down upon stay at home mothers as lazy and not contributing to society. Only now do I see the magnificence of such a decision. A woman is literally raising the next generation. And if a child has a solid family foundation with protective, hard working and loving father and nurturing, caring and homely mothers it can only go up from there. I’ve wanted to be a mother since I was 8 years old. But even at my late teens/early twenties everybody told me “don’t have kids till you’re thirty!” (Which is ironic because women become shockingly less fertile at that age) Or “go live you’re life first” as if children are some form of death! I adored the idea of having little children to adore and care for. It’s all I dreamt of. It’s sad that today’s mindset won’t let women who want the simple pleasure of doing what we were created for, and I’m not saying that to demean women. We can do pretty much anything. Be a lawyer, philosopher, judge, pilot, solider, teacher etc. But our bodies are wonderful in the sense, we are built to bear children. Our minds work in a way men’s do not and vice versa. That’s what makes us good couples. I’d want the same for my son. If he wanted to get married younger than average and have children I wouldn’t tell him not to. Irregardless I would over joyed. Just like if he wanted to work to become stable in his life with work or school, of course, by all means go do that. If it’s what YOU want. Not what society today wants for you. Healthy, traditional values have been thrown out the window as backward.

This always cracks me up. There's always someone that has that question, "What makes you the in the know on the subject", because he READ IT! Something that most people DON'T do. One thing that many anti- groups tells a person is READ not just "anti" views but also the "pro" views that are being expressed. This way you have a well rounded view. These people don't go into debates without knowing the source material. And even when you do, they still hunker down trying to prove their point. But what's put into practice already tells the truth. And even that's not accepted. Uphold the lie, the lie being sold. The majority of women who were and still are feminist to some degree have either denounced what they believed or still hold to small views. But they realize the damage feminism is causing. However they aren't really speaking up about the damage they've caused. NOW THEY themselves are looking at the worse happening in future generations. Some of them also helped shape and push this poison to new generations. NOW some are telling young people, that this is not the path you want to travel. Because they themselves are NOW also on that path. A pathway to unhappiness. They've gotten old, some have no children, or some out of wedlock birth that might not go anywhere do to indoctrination, custody battle with a child that has no future, no grandchildren, no partner that might love them, no future prospects and a loneliness of waiting for the end. Sure we all die alone, be it married or not. But when you end up regretting not having a legacy, it's worse. When the thought of "false" freedom would bring them happiness. Did they see this coming. NO. And now they are paying the price.

My dad also worked more than a full time job As Foreman for the county highway department. They both made decent money and raised us fairly well. Even though all that is true my mom tells me to this day that she feels guilty about not being able to spend more time with us kids and she feels that she wasn't as good as a mother since she worked so much. This goes to show that there are women who wish that they could be home more with their kids but the economy requires they work more.

This girl I dated a few years ago was a mega, self-proclaimed feminist. She was in a band, at university, doing her psychology degree. Things didn't work out (prob because I was a cuck then and said I was a feminist too, just to appease her. subconsciously she probably wanted a self-affirmed, confident man.) She didn't want kids or marriage. Just found out shes now married and is pregnant through her instagram (the only two posts in like 5 years are news of her marriage and pregnancy.) I think feminism goes hand in hand with marxism, in that it placates that rebellious mentality youth generally have. Ofc when you're young you wanna do your own shit, not be told what to do etc. Feminism and marxism exploit that by throwing all tradition out the window. That's why you have these crazy marxist feminists (trust me, I was one.) And that's why wew hear so much about women in their 30s realising that maybe they don't want a career anymore and, surprise, want a family. Sadly I know so many feminists and marxsists who are now in their 30s still so ideologically brainwashed with these doctrines, because it literally becomes their character and spiritual world view. It's terrible and pathetic.

Interesting take. My mother who was the greatest kindest most loving woman I ever knew told me this once. Having asked her why she never went to school for a career. She said ...all I ever wanted was to be a mother. Am happy to say that she was the best mother a daughter could ever have. So who is to say that her life was not a success other than those who are not satisfied with their own? My only wish is that when my life is done that my son can say the same about me.

I feel like the people who think feminists are actually like this, talk to feminists online exclusively. I'm someone who's goal is to have a successful business that my husband can later on take over so that it gives me opportunity to be a stay at home mother by the time I have children. And I get nothing but support from both sides. I've never seen a feminists give someone shit for choosing to be a stay at home mom exclusively. Conservative values ≠ anti feminism. The people who draws lines like this I doubt have real life experience on both sides and/or draw conclusions based on single experiences. I have been told by men that my place is to be only a home maker. I've been told by women that it's crazy that I decided to get married before I turned 20. If a women says "I don't ever want to be a mother or have children" and you get offended by that, you're part of the problem. If a women says "I want to be a stay at home mom and let my husband provide" and you get offended by that, you're part of the problem. Some feminists may say things that may feel like they are attacking the choices of women, but majority of the time those are mainly mainstream speakers that people see, and not the opinion of the average feminist. And if that's the only time of feminists you see, more than likely you are inside an echo chamber of people who make political commentary on a small minority of feminists. The internet makes things look black and white, but generally people end up in the gray spots.
@katrosajin7744
@katrosajin7744 4 жыл бұрын
@Asha I get what your saying. I don't even take it as being cynical either. But it can be seen that some people like to say that they encourage women's choices, only accept the choices they agree with. Just like a right leaning person would say it's my place and duty to be a home maker. Or maybe a left leaning person would raise an eyebrow if I decide to let my husband be the "bread winner". My point is that everyone seems so ready to pat themselves on the back for accepting women, but only as a ploy for their own political views. And all these comments saying "I feel bullied by feminists". No, you feel bullied by people who don't accept choice. But based on their personal experiences, they see it as "FEMINISTS DONT SUPPORT WOMEN" when in actuality it's their bubble reinforcing that idea that feminism is harmful. When the average feminist DOES support choice. So I'm not trying to jab at anyone specific, but trying to say that this tribalism that only conservatives support women's conservative choices is extremely flawed and black and white. Because they only use supporting conservative women's choices as a pawn in their political game. Which something mostly right leaning people do. So im not taking a shot at people who tell me I'm married too early, but rather people who use my experience as why I should be AGAINST feminism. It makes me think they have actually never really communicated with feminists, that thats why they have such a polarized view on anyone who claims to be a feminist.

Andrew Klavan even thinks feminism is inherently bad which he is obviously a misogynist and is against woman’s rights. He is so misinformed about feminism. Thank you Andrew. Being a woman that has worked in a male dominated field (Engineering) for 40 years , and saw the beginning of the "Women's Lib" movement back in the 60's. I didn't like it then and DO not like it now as it has gotten more toxic. Women's lib (and or the feminist movement) took away the family life that made this country great. It didn't give women any more rights (actually took them away) and terribly hurt children. I said it than and I say it now. I didn't need it to do what I loved doing which is engineering, but was actually hurt by the snide remarks and actions from "The Guys" I worked with because of it while raising my two kids.

Male roles were historically held in esteem not because they were more important, but because they were more physically and psychologically straining. It's natural to want to be at home with your own flesh and blood, like women were for most of history. And more men died at work and war than women died in child birth. That's why women always outnumber men in every society.

In today's world, there is a strong emphasis on masculinity and strength. We are encouraged to repress our emotions and be strong, no matter what. This often leads to an accumulation of stress, as it is impossible to be strong all the time. Furthermore, when we are not allowed to express our emotions openly, it can lead to feelings of unease, depression and a lack of inner peace. This is why it is important to try to maintain a balance between strength and emotion. We need to find ways to express our emotions without judgement, while still being strong and resilient. Only then will we be able to achieve true inner peace and be able to cope with the stress of our daily lives.

Will we ever teach these children logic and critical reasoning skills? Notice the kid never asked Klavan to explain his comments. He basically just attacked him as not having enough knowledge (ad-hominem) and then argued that he doesn't have the proper bona-fides (appeal to authority). These are fallacies, not arguments. We need to start teaching children the difference.

He is equating feminism the concept with how some radical people practice feminism. They are not the same thing. The problem with movements is anyone can join them and claim they represent that community. What he doesn’t like, is what SOME radical feminists believe, but that is not what feminism really is or what it’s about. Real feminism is about giving women choices, to make a home and have children if they want, or become successful in business if they want. And to have the same choices for men.
