Yes the historical portuguese path, the royal family actually fled to Brazil when Napoleon invaded Portugal and turned Brazil in a United Kngdom with Portugal, same as England, Walles and Scotland, when Napoleon falls the Portuguese Liberals demanded that Brazil turned back to colony status, which greatly angered the brazilians, then Pedro de Alcantara proclamed independence from Portugal and became Emperor D. Pedro I the first leader of Brazil

I'd like to see a part 2. Taking all of the new world, Africa, and Iberia is fun a RP for Portugal. Also, go grab the whitehouse. Best monument in the game.

At 8:56 I don't understand why do you develop renaissance considering in the latest patches you can just ask for institution from an Italian nation, considering you play in Europe it's much better that way.
@GolemEnt27 күн бұрын
There's no need to ask for it. If you watched the full video, you'd see that colonization events end up giving so many monach points that you have excess left to develop Brazil. You just end up boosting your economy and don't need to wait for anything.

You know, I'm always torn between taking economic ideas or not in campaigns with a lot of gold mines. On one hand, it helps managing inflation and reduces depletion chance. On the other hand, with lots of gold mines you'll have a ton of money anyway, so I feel like it's better to pick an idea group that would boost me in some areas other than money making. I'm always really undecisive on this.
@aluminiumknight403829 күн бұрын
I like to take eco ideas when i have a lot of Gold, make money even better and just throw ducats at other problems xd
@SereglothIV29 күн бұрын
@aluminiumknight4038 Yeah, that's one way of looking at it xD
@GolemEnt29 күн бұрын
My 2 cents: if you can take the golden city great project from Hungary, then eco is really not needed. I'm not a big fan of this idea group tbh, just the 2nd time picking it ever in my videos :D
@SereglothIV29 күн бұрын
@@GolemEnt I used to take old eco ideas a lot (old eco/quantity meta), but after they changed them, I also take them very rarely.

Cool idea but idk how interesting a vid like that could be since the north american formables barely have any content & going for them is basically digging your own grave power wise :|
@MuppetLord129 күн бұрын
Instead of canceling colonization you can just save one tick before you reach 400 pop & bird until you get the right trade goods. :)
@GolemEnt29 күн бұрын
This makes sense, but it's not something i would advise in my vids. I only alt f4 in very shitty circumstances or after realising that i made something very stupid, but for trade goods... might as well just cheat then xD

Question, why not instead do the move the Capital trick to Bermuda and just continue as Portugal? Does having subordinate colonial nation help with colonization?
@augustosannita932928 күн бұрын
It does. Your colonial nation can colony itself

when you go to a new age are all the age bonuses lost from the previous one? like +1 dev bonus of colonies and ae reduction? or whatever you took is forever?
@regnarrocker6162Ай бұрын
The bonuses only last for the duration of the Age. After that Age ends, the bonuses are lost.

Personally, I just don't respect Economic if you're getting it for the inflation reduction, as if you're running heavy gold .1 a year is just negligible, whereas if you go for trade, the higher income naturally just makes you create less inflation. The other stuff though, is solid, as are the policies. Just my 5 cents. Also every S-America game makes one curse trade nodes though. edit: the war against Spain won't be a problem for if you just take Naval. Grab a conquest of a place outside Iberia, blockade them after sinking their fleet. Easy. Spain is only hard when you're still a smaller/mid sized country going against them and one of their allies.

Why flee if you can form --> colonise Bermuda and a province in Brazil - move capital to Ceuta than Bermuda then Brazil and you inherit all colonial subjects :) Flee to Brazil as long as I know keeps colonial subjects in other regions.
