I agree with you Brandon. The issue is not the scheme, the issue is the play caller. Whether it’s Napier or his group of OCs, the In game play calling is mediocre to poor. Some people have a natural gift of seeing the opponents formations, talent and how to attack and adjust in game. Also some people have a natural feel for the game to keep the offense in a rhythm based off their play calling. This is not a Napier and/or his staff over the past 3 years and the film and stats show it. An example of how it’s the actual play caller and not the scheme would be the 2009 Gators offense compared to the 2008. Steve Adazio ran the same offense with the same terminologies that he learned from Mullen, but it’s was as clear as night and day that Adazio had nowhere the talent as a play caller that Mullen did.

I agree we need a play caller but we dont need a whole new system. We need something easy for the players to adjust to we dont have a year or 2 to learn a whole new offense

I think the office coordinator from Wake Forest is a good option. He runs more of a slower base RPO offense. which somewhat matches Billy but he’s also ranked top 10 for offensive coordinators in 2024

Only if new OC will use existing system and just add additional plays that emphasize Lagway's strengths. Putting in totally new system will cost UF early 2025 games for this young team.

I don't know the entire agreement for Napier to stay, we applaud how this team was able to come back strong to end the season. BUT..... But... saying again if he doesn't get a good OC and Stricklin and Company doesn't force him to get it done, this will be a big high going to a big low real quickly. A big big waste of time and talent. This will piss me off beyond belief.

Even the last 4 games were not well coached.. watch the games! Florida didn't play nearly to potential and made the games so much more difficult. He'll lose games that should be won every year. Silly Billy will not out coach anyone! When has he?😊

Billy played easier schedules in 2022 and 2023. Against our brutal 2024 schedule, the EPA ranking should be lower than before plus QB injury meant using two freshman QBs often.

I’m of this same mindset. I looked up how many head coaches won a Super Bowl/national championship. And it said it was extremely rare on either side. Personally I want a guy who’s 100% focus is on making lagway the best QB in college. And creating masterful puzzles that lagway can piece together. As a HC you can’t do that especially in today’s game.

We have a center,LT,QB ,TE and WRs that know our current system. Familiarity will breed success. Just add new pass plays like 4 WRs. New system will cost us in 2025.
