My friends husband fell off a two story roof. He broke his back, ribs, and legs and had a concussion. He had just gone self empolyed so his insurance wouldn't pay out, thankfully he is well and back in work.

I think that is why the brothers are very clear that this is a gift. When you give a gift you give it for free without any expectations that is what makes it beautiful. The reaction of the homeowners is up to them, but it does not affect the quality of the work and the kindness that the brothers gift. I think what the Rudan brothers are teaching us all what real gifting is all about.

@@estherwyant yes of course…thats why it is a cultural shock for me. I believe its about caring the workers. If someone comes for a paid job like painting, we always offer lunch and at tea time cookies etc.

@@tijenhoca6371 they have videos where they are fed by the homeowners. It’s also possible that in some cases the homeowners don’t have resources to give a big meal and can only afford snacks. In my culture, we feed our workers too (more than snacks) but I’m coming to see it doesn’t happen in other cultures as well. Just different!

They address this in a later video, but the aluminum is flat in a big roll in the front of the van, and a machine forms it into a gutter as it goes through. They just run it out to the length that they need through the machine.
