To boxes credit, I also enjoy hsr more than other action gacha games. The reason being that it has smaller levels, fast daily objectives and is easy to play on phones. The fast daily objectives and auto play make it easy, fast and painless to stay up to date. While, yes wuthering waves has better combat, it is not very phone friendly and I have better action games to play on my pc. I think he made fair points, even if they weren’t well articulated.

A gacha's main gameplay mechanic will always be inferior to a similar single-player title (WuWa vs. Elden Ring, Genshin vs. BoTW). To truly stand out, a gacha will needs to provide a good well-rounded experience. As it stands, combat is all WuWa's got going for it. The storytelling and narrative is still well below average compared to peers. Music is mid. Game is still riddled with translation errors and/or poor localization in general. Terrible mobile optimization and sub-par fps performance for PC. Grinding is a chore. And on and on.

I am hoping WuWa pulls a system like FGO's bronze sapling or HSR's overfill pool. I have yet to reach the max/near max level and I hope all the elites/bosses don't end up becoming damage sponges like Genshin ended up becoming. A lot of these live services eventually end up this way but it's a shame not enough reworking gets done for older units in these games. HI 3rd and League of Legends touch base on these issues. Maybe when the ENG VAs are fitting/better, I will see how that goes but in regards to Changli, hard to beat Chiwa Saito...

I appreciate HSR for being a game that is TRULY causal, you can get the satisfaction of progresss, while actually doing other stuff and get pulls by ...again..doing other stuff(so id you are productive you can work while playing). So simply put if gacha games are only better then other games in: character design(ability to pull them) ; why should I wanna spend my time doing dailies, when most people do agree they do not actually enjoy doing them?Ofc I want that stuff on auto, I didnt come to play gacha games to do dailies, nobody comes for that. The biggest problem with Gachas is exactly what they brought up. It requires your constant attention, but limits the amount of time you can play each day. You have to login and play everyday if you want to build up your account and enjoy new characters (which tend to be ~20-40% of the emphasis for new content) but you aren't allowed to actually level someone up in the same day. The optimal way to play would be exactly like Teccy said, login for new patches and enjoy everything. But you can only do that if you have the money to spend to make up for it. At that point is the game worth that much money?

Mtashed’s complaint about Gacha game downtime will never go away. That down time where there is not content besides dailies and no gems/astrites to get is when people get tempted to spend $10 or $20 extra to get some more multies. The only saving grace of some Gacha games is a really good story. I’m looking at CounterSide, Epic 7, Genshin, Honkai Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd. If they didn’t have such an excellent story and interesting characters, I probably would drop them Because the daily five minute grind and then I can’t do anything is just a horrible experience.

Before i quit GI 2years ago, I would minmax some of my characters in the game and do all the event like a madman which lead me being burnout of the game . That's why I dont do that anymore in WuWa . Since its release i only do the dailies everyday and used up my waveplates which only took me 15mins or less . In the evening I only open the game for less than 10mins hahah . I do my grinding on weekends ! That's why if i read some comments that says they're burnout of the game I always laugh . You just dont know how to play the game hahahah

Yup. Had a similar experience with Genshin, but didnt in HSR or Wuwa for the same reason. I think lack of experience is a problem. By the time Genshin had come around I already had lingering burnout from open world games and mmos, and I think that isnt the case with most gacha CC's so they dont know how to recognise it.

I think the issue Mtashed has right now is the same issue I have. Destiny is in your bloodstream. When you jump into Destiny you can do anything as many times as you want and it will consistently grow your character. You can log in some months later and if you care about the seasonal content, it’ll be there for you to play, you can kind of go at your own pace and you can play in a group. It’s just so easy to always go back to. But with Gacha, if you miss a day, that’s a day of rewards you could’ve earned, progression you could’ve made, events you could’ve done. And then once it’s gone, 9/10 it’s gone for good. And sure Destiny has some of those FOMO elements but Destiny doesn’t force you to be there all day every day. Sadly, the light and dark saga is over so unless you care for the seasonal stuff, there’s not much of a reason to continue Destiny unless you are engrossed in its lore and what’s to come for the future. Otherwise, you just gotta go play something that’ll actually make you feel like you’re making effort with the time you put in, but doesn’t force you to put that time in daily. And that’s Final Fantasy 14.

Devs just doesn't know what to do now cus were demanding less time on commissions but they complain it takes only 8 minutes to play a day. You know whats a great idea I don't mind doing 10 commissions as long the rewards are generous, imagine 10 commissions and each commission gives you 100 or 150 primos/asterites... gacha games should be more generous on rewards top make their game better.

on what shinya said to box to why would you play a game when u dont even 'want' to actively play it or sumn when you can just autobattle,,, i mean the autobattle is used msotly for dailies and idk who enjoys a game purely bc of doing their dailies, and besides gacha games r not something u play like hours everyday else youll lead to burnt out etc, so having dailies be smthg u dont have time put your full attention too is a huge plus for hsr and i think thats why i enjoy it and is very 'high maintenance' ab it even tho its considered a lower maintenance game compared to others bc im not forced to put my full attention on doing things so menial like dailies, even tho they last like less than ten minutes but long term doing it repetitively esp now in higher levels where what changes in ur characs build isnt as evident per day anymore since u need more materials, it just becomes part of a hassle imo

I understand what he was saying at the start. 8 minutes isnt long at all, and im sure he knows that. But if its 8 minutes you dont enjoy, but feel like its an OBLIGATION, a chore, a daily requirement to get some enjoyment at a later date or risk falling behind when the new patch comes out... Especially when you know you have to be fully engaged those 8 minutes for WuWa. That feels far more exhausting than say logging on to HSR if you're not feeling it one day, but knowing you only gotta log on for 30 seconds, click a couple buttons and it will fast auto your dailies for you. And you wont fall behind or miss anything later when you do feel like coming back for full engagement of a new patch.

I wasn't caring much for ZZZ, but having played it, not only is it amazing, but it's also the best combat amongst the comparable games like HI3rd (which it completely killed, and I'm a day 1 player), PGR, Aether Gazer and WuWa.

Star Rail has been my favorite because the dailies and battle pass are the easiest to complete but Wurthering Waves has been the most fun for me even if I hate the dailies like I did in Genshin

1.1 just killed me with the laggs 😢 FYI I was playing the game on max settings very comfortably in 1.0 But after the update I can barely play the game on lowest setting and potato visual, but it still laggs and heats up like crazy. The game is 12gb but feels like 120gb . Hope kuro can save the game for me. 🙏😭🙏

I had one where when I went to Hong Zhen the game crashed. But everywhere else was running great it was really weird. But then there was an update yesterday and It doesn't do it anymore. Does that just happen everywhere for you?

@@Kennarrs it was happening till evening for me as well but after the new update an hr ago I can play on good settings again. And yes my game was crashing as well. It happens when I'm on anything but the lowest graphics settings my phone heats up like a pan, the frame rate drops to single digits and after a few seconds poof the game force quits by itself.
