Ghana is sweet, but it will teach you patience. When you build your house, go off-grid, which means solar, generator, and borehole. I live in Minneapolis building in Accra prampram. I use solar sensor lights, solar everything. I was the one who tapped electricity in my area (ECG) Ghana national grid, but i don't depend on it. Focus on building your own house even if it's a tiny house, and make sure you go completely off-grid, grow your own food, and be happy and peaceful. That's what i want to do

People thought they going for greener pastures in Africa that is Ghana 🇬🇭. A country that you don’t pay taxes do you think you will have everything like you did in your home country? Nah sis nah….will teach you patience and tolerance and appreciate where you come from.

Sorry but you have to go through it to learn. Yes in the day time you keep window open and utilize fan at a minimum. Night time AC is best time to use cause its a little cooler, less energy being used. Its like that in majority of the islands/ continent. Lesson learned, but you caught on fast. It take time just do what you can one day and step at a time. There are many more you will face, just live and learn. Just keep pushing through it all; cause at the end you will find your peace and joy. Have a bless one.

Sis you cracked me up but put that sign right on the exit door as your reminder. When I was in Gambia I would have it on at night to cool the place down then run the fans in the day unless AC was needed while I was at home. You'll get it soldier momma.

You will pull through, try to only use the ac in your bedroom at nights, put on the fans and open the windows during the day. That's what I did while living in Panama for the past two years. When you build get solar, please.

@Mz.BahamianGoddess Truth is that man proposes, but God disposes my dear. We might plan A but ultimately B is in his hands. Take care, calm down, keep hope alive and depend on God's ability. I became your subscriber because I saw the energy and your faith in God. If you keep the faith, trust me you will pull through without an effort. One last advice for you dear. Reorient your priorities to help you integrate and be happy.

Your ac is the quickest way to finish ur electricity in Ghana. Purchase a fan and alternate between both cause a 1000 cedis should be well enough for a month and turn off everything but ur fridge when u leave the house. 💯

Living in the States made you wasteful in a sense. Who leaves their AC and lights on when they are not home.....that can't happen here in the islands. Electricity in theses islands are to the roof. So be very mindful next time.
