I am 52 years old, and true love in the human sense has eluded me. I married imo the wrong man, and he abandoned me, and I am not looking forward to spending the rest of my years alone. This is my story and the story of millions. All my life I've heard God has something better for you, tried to do the right things, and somehow got it all wrong. I still believe in God has my best interests at heart, but He has increasingly less to work with in this corrupt world. You can also be married and very lonely, as I was. What I would say to everybody is that marriage is not the answer to loneliness, love is. Make sure your single parents, friends, children, sisters, and brothers, are a priority in your life. A lot of us look to a possible romantic relationship just to have the sense of love and belonging that a family or great friendship can provide. Single or not, everyone needs that.

When people get into relationships when they are not doing it God's way, over a long period of time it never turns out well. Some people are allowed blessing that has nothing to do with god. The bible talks about this. A big part of it is God is allowing non godly people to provide a negative example so that god can bring up the positive example. I think people can make their marriage work if they are willing to give in. But ssk yourself, how many attempts did they have before marrying someone? With God you don't need to be going through all that, He will make you ready for someone He has already envisioned for you. Can you affirm most of those couples are happy? Or isn't it looks? How many of them will divorce? Sure, there's also that possibility being with Christ, not because of Him, but because of our stubbornness. I assure God wants people to be happy, He loves them, He loves you, and once they're married with whoever they picked, God will help them keep their marriage, if that's what they want. But are people asking for God's opinion (which is perfect btw)? Nope. So there's pointers people follow: feelings, looks, status, etc. God certainly can make power couple, but people aren't really giving their relationship to Him.

Aye. I know how you feel. I'm 35 year old male in the same boat. I've only dated about three different girls for a total of about 6 months so I've been single most my life. I went through several years of just having given up. I really wants kids, and I've had times of giving up on that too. But I wait for her, my wife. Because I know that it's better to have one day with her in the future, than a thousand days right now with the wrong person. I've seen so many people who commit themselves to the wrong people out of impatience and then when someone much better suited for them, dare I say their "soulmate", comes along, they aren't free to be with them and both are forced apart. Yes I did this and thought it was from God and wasn't as close with God as I am now. I asked God for a husband and a week later met who I thought was Gods mate for me. It turned out to be the worst most abusive thing and now I see all the warnings God put in my face. But God loves me so much still and has blessed me in the situation and I know so much I didn't and He has refined me so I can be that proverbs 31 wife for the one He has. I wouldn't have been as close to God nor understood so many things I do now had I not went through all this. He promised to bring me a Godly man that will lead us, put God first, and give back double all the enemy has taken. Idk if it will be my husband restored or a new man but all I need now is the Lord if I never got anything else. Never give up and always seek God's kingdom first.

God loves you so much, that he is preparing you for sth big, I am sure! Find comfort in your prayers! Talk to Him! Don't persistently ask things for yourself, just pray to Him with a humble heart and love. Start praying for others, your enemies, the prople that you don't particularly like. Participate in charities. Find God in other people. Count your blessings and I assure you that when you start appreciating what you have and glorify God for all that He gives you daily, it will happen. When you least expect it. Believe and trust God!

I understand what you mean, sometimes loneliness happens when you're in a season of singleness. What helps is deepening your relationship with God. Don't just sumbit to those feelings and get depressed, worship the Lord instead, cast down those thoughts of loneliness with the Word and remind yourself that singleness is also a blessing because you have more time to serve God and do the work of the kingdom.

Why when I seek God first and have delight in His words my life turned upside down? At first I lost my job, my properties, my money, got sick and still I obey Him and then another trial happened my mother got sick and I took care of her I did what I had to do, I still have my faith but still she died, this left me in debts from her sickness. I don't know what we wrong I think God is so unfair, now that I am 36, unmarried, living alone,making both ends meet I still wonder if God sees all my good deeds I am now losing my faith in Him little by little. I had no success in any aspect of my life, I didn't own anything now. God has nothing to take away from me now except my life which I wish He would because I'm feeling miserable.

I've asked to get a better job once i hit my 3rd year mark of being there because I was frustrated with my coworkers and feeling like I wasn't going anywhere with it. I also wanted something more flexible so that I could pursue my dreams of what I felt led to do. I even asked dor more money because it seemed like I didn't have enough and was living check to check. My love life has been so hard so I don't even ask for a boyfriend or husband. God assured me that he'd excel me and give more money, but the question still stands... when?? I've just been in a place where I'm trying to sit still and build back up my trust again and I just don't ask for much anymore. The fact is that we can ask God for things all day, but we won't get anything unless it's His timing and will.

It makes sense that he would withhold your blessings while you're living in sin. I'm slowly starting to wake up to this myself. Er, well maybe very rapidly in the context of time haha. Also 6:10 to 6:40 speakes volumes to me. After I went through a nasty break up with a nonbeliever my pastor told me pretty much the exact same thing. That God was PROTECTING me.

I know that parents or, even, a lover may punish the other party or withhold something from them, but even if they just don't get it or respond how we would like, and we see them reaching a breaking point, we step in and stop the punishment as we don't want them to "break." I'm not sure God steps in; if you don't get it well over the edge you go. I've been hoping, waiting & praying for a decent job over 23 years now and still nothing. I've applied for a lot of gov't jobs, even did gov't entrance exam & scored 4th highest mark but still nothing. When one retires from these jobs, one gets gratuity payment & pension. I applied & tested (made over 90%) in different facets of police service but nothing. I've worked with people who are in the service now, and they can't read, write properly. Basic salary in police service is like $10,000/mth & perks. So, when I lose faith & question things don't blame me. I try to live a decent life but that doesn't seem to help one bit.

This is me. Married 25 years almost and together with my husband 27 and he just gets up and walks away and never looks back because he's narcissistic and he remarried within a year and a half and I lost everything I ever worked for I lost my company I have no finances I'm barely living off pennies to pay my bills I still have my house but I'm in debt to it so I really have nothing but God and I know I've become so much stronger since this has happened to me. He ended up marrying a non-Christian Jezebel woman who knew I was married and she helped break up my marriage by allowing their Shenanigans II go on.. everything I seem to do is a shut door I need God's help and his Direction and his Mercy amen.. he took my company from me that we built together and that was my future income and it's all gone.. I do not agree with what you just said about living in sin because I wasn't living in sin when I was married to my husband so I don't know who you're talkin to maybe single immature young boys and girls I'm not really sure what you're saying here but I don't agree with it. I also had a Ministry in my home for 9 years and me and my husband walked strongly with the Lord so your information is not connecting to what I went through at all.

Yvonne Errend hello, first i am sorry for what you are going through. You are correct this video may not necessarily apply to you. It not cut and dry nor is it one size fits all. Reading the book of Job we can see that God allowed the devil to torment Job and til today we do not know why. But we find out in the end that God restored Job; he didnt give him the exact same of everything he lost...he gave him better. Trust me i understand, i also went through similar circumstances and no matter what i did, believing that i was moving in faith AND with God on my side...it blew up in my face or the door didnt open for me. We have to trust him despite how hard and painful things are. I stopped doing anything because i felt that God wanted to handle everything...so i have been letting Him..with him leading me. You have to continue to go to Him, He will direct you...it may not even feel like He's doing so, but He is. STAY in your bible. His spirit will direct you, talk to Him daily and soon enough you will realize He is talking back to you. He says your latter will be better than your former (Haggai 2:9) sometimes things will get worse before they get better. God is taking you through a process of some sort. I know that trusting God is easier said than done, but its the best thing to do in any situation. As for your husband give him back to God, pray for him he will need it. And as for you God is with you, He said so...He is close to the brokenhearted binding up their wounds. Take each day one day at a time and allow Him to work in you to heal you and to help you forgive......i am speaking from experience
