Its so sad that finding a husband is so easy and natural for so many Christians, yet other Christians have to pray, fast, plead, question, watch videos, study the Word, read a ton of "Single" books, counsel, cry, suffer, wait, hope, live alone, wonder, ache, serve, watch other Christians get married, watch other Christians have children, watch those children have children while we wait and wonder and cry and pray and wait and fast and study and watch videos and get counseling, eat alone, suffer, serve, make declarations, wonder and................

Hi Yaelra, I feel your pain. All you wrote, I felt it for several years, so what I'm about to tell you is not to condemn you, but hopefully to help you. I had to learn about surrendering and letting go. Ask God to take away any envy towards other Christians that seem to have it "easier" because they found their spouse, and start rejoicing for them. Their life is not easier, on the contrary: marriage and a family bring more burdens, which maybe we don't see. Forgive and let go of any resentment towards anyone who hurt you and ask God to fill you with His joy. Spend more time alone with Him (this is counter-intuitive, but important). Stop obsessing about marriage. In one of his videos, Mark says "God won't bless you with an idol", and marriage can become an idol. I learnt that surrendering is getting to a place of contentment, where you don't NEED a spouse, because God is your fulfillment. At that point, you are happy and blessed and whether you are married or not doesn't matter at all. I'm not there completely, yet, but I'm getting there. Let go and trust Him to fulfill all your needs (emotional, physical, spiritual): He won't let you down.

Every time I have left a comment on one of these videos or anything someone always comes along and replies to it either leaving a story of how either they or someone else had waited for the Lord to bring them someone or just plain telling me that I should stop having faith that God will answer this prayer. I don’t care how many replies I get that are like this I’m going to keep having faith that the Lord has someone for me and I’m going to keep praying for it until it is answered. God isn’t going get tired of me praying for the same thing over and over. Never has yet. He didn’t get tired when Daniel was praying day in and day out when he was in that lion’s den. I am here because I am completely and utterly exhausted. I have been BEGGING God fervently for YEARS to help my find a nice girl. I have been praying rosaries, going to church and confession on a regular basis. I have been giving up everything and anything that may be standing in the way between my relationship with God. I have been in so much pain for so long. Every time I feel like I’m getting close, he sweeps the rug out from underneath me and lets me fall flat on my face. I have been on many dates and experimented with dating sites across the board only to face rejection after rejection. It’s like there’s a knife in my side and every time I try to talk to a girl I like, he twists the knife, yanks it out, and pushes it back in. There’s a few pretty girls at work that I try to talk to and it’s like I’m invisible to them. I feel like my life is a joke sometimes. It’s like he’s mocking me. I feel bad for saying that because I know none of it’s true, but there’s no worse feeling than the feeling that God is blatantly ignoring you. Sometimes even making the pain worse, as if he’s doing the exact opposite of what you’re asking. Like WTF. I often feel like I’m being punished for a crime I didn’t commit. Literally the worst feeling ever. And there’s no end in sight. I don’t get it.

Sometimes God doesn't give us what we want, and sometimes we never understand why things do or don't happen in life. I prayed about a (bad) situation for many months, but in the end, everything that I was afraid of happened. I still don't know why. Something crazy happened after I watched this video yesterday. This morning I had the urge to pick up the Bible, close my eyes and flip to a random page. Sometimes I do that asking God what passage I need to focus on. And I kid you not, I swear to God guess which page I turned to. The passage you are discussing in this video! I was shook! The problem is that as Christians, we're supposed to date and marry another believer. There are generally fewer Christian men than there are women. Unless you were attending a social event held by your church, then going out randomly to night clubs, bars, etc won't help you much. The other thing is that people go to social events either in groups or in couples, and they don't speak to people they don't know. I would say that this is even true in the church. Years ago I went to a Christian conference with my family, where they were holding meetings specifically for young adults. I went to these meetings alone, which wasn't easy. The only person I spoke to was another girl while standing in line for the ladies. I would say that Christian guys are afraid of approaching women and asking them out. They are more comfortable going out in a group of people. It has been hammered into them (and women also), to over-spiritualize everything, and that unless they're sure this person is 'The One' God desires you to marry, then they can't go out on a casual date. The fact that most Christians would rather be 'told' who they should marry rather than take a chance, but sit and wait and pray, is probably one of the main reasons why so many of us are remaining single. (Well, that and the unequal male/female ratio).

Yeah, but isn't it also significant that even at that time in the Garden of Eden when everything was perfect and there was NO sin, God looked at Adam and saw it wasn't good for him to be alone? If it's true that no person can fill a hole in your heart except Jesus, then couldn't you also say that there was no need for God to have created Eve and brought her to Adam? Surely if there was ever a time when man and God were in unison, it was in Eden I've heard this line of reasoning many times over the years, and I do get where they're coming from, but I also think that it ignores the fact that God obviously created us to be relational beings, and one relationship with Him isn't going to be sufficient all the time. If it wasn't good for Adam to be alone in the Garden, then...maybe it's not good for anyone.

What's sad is pretty much almost all of my family and friends are married. I'm 36 and will be 37 in November. I'm beginning to lose hope in ever finding the one God wants me to have. I mean our years are finite on this earth. The amount some of us have to wait is getting ridiculous. Am I going to have to wait until I'm 40 before I find her? I have prayed time and time again. I've asked what must I do to be ready? What in me is lacking? Unfortunately I never hear anything, and I never really see signs of anything. What is the problem? Why do some find who they're meant to be with in their early 20s and others must wait until after 35, 45, or even 55?

I am using your biblical advice and applying it to having a child. Many couples are able to get pregnant without trying while others pray for a long time. I am praying for my husband and I to conceive all while being happy for others who are blessed with children. It's not easy and only possible with God's help to genuinely be happy for others while you want something so much. Also, after watching this video, I now have more empathy on others that are not married and want to be. Everyone is going through so much! I like how you said the answer to our prayers are no, yes, or not yet.

I’m very late to this video but life has been difficult the last 3 years with a husband who does not desire God in his life or to be good to me. I’ve been in an emotionally abusive relationship and I’m due in 3 months with our second child. Dealing with a lot of shame for starting a family with a man hoping and having faith God would work that miracle of bringing him to the faith. I have prayed and prayed but only in the past few months have I actually felt convicted myself and know I am saved by the conviction I feel in my heart and soul. I so badly want my husband to crave God the way I do. I so badly want my husband to love me and care for me as Jesus loved the church. But unfortunately, I think God has spoken by not speaking into my marriage. I always thought God would never want divorce to happen but it’s very clear that my husband isn’t going to change and I can’t subject myself and my children to me being constantly depressed and heartbroken because he is unkind and not loyal to me. I take my daughter to church alone every week, I volunteer alone, I pray alone, I study alone. My heart is broken and I’m at my lowest point being a dependent stay at home mother and wife. I’m not sure what I will do when I have to take my two children and my dog and leave. I’m not sure where we will go, how I will find a job suitable for my needs or how I will find help to watch my children. The stress weighs heavily on me and I find myself asking God why He couldn’t just enter my husbands heart and convict him. I will never know the answer I suppose. I know me and my girls will be taken care of in the way God intends. But I’ll admit it’s scary and it hurts a lot what we have to go through as Christians.

If he is not physically abusing you or the children, and he is not sexually abusing them, STAY IN THAT MARRIAGE!!!! Stop listening to Satan! Put that thought of divorce OUT OF YOUR MIND!!! Take EVERY THOUGHT into captivity. You submit to this man as unto the Lord, 100%. Introduce him to brothers and sisters in Christ, and stay devoted to him. Then you won't have to think about how to take care of yourself and your children. This is EXCELLENT. Especially point number 3. Everybody THINKS that they are ready. As a singles later I have counseled with many singles who really believe they are ready but there are so many glaring deficiencies in their walk and in how to handle a relationship biblically that I often shudder at the thought of them even attempting a serious relationship. God can still work through many of those issues while in a relationship yes but it is much more difficult in many cases. Also seeking the Kingdom 1ST is one thing that is usually missed. And people that are DIVORCED need to read scripture. People who don't meet the biblical requirements for divorce yet think they just want to go find "someone else" is clearly Anti-biblical.

I've given up on praying for God to bring me someone. Everytime I think I have made a connection, it doesn't work out. I blame it on my looks. If I was beautiful I wouldn't have a problem. God simply does not care if we desire to be married and pray about it because he never bring us someone. I believe God answers some prayers but there are a lot he just ignores. I believe that the only reason some people find someone is simply due to luck. God is not involved in our love life. I had prayed for many decades to get married and it never happened for me. There were women that came along (though not many) over the years but I felt like they were not right for me. Now that I'm old, I have thrown up the "white flag" to God on this. I am, much to my surprise, very content with knowing that a wife will never happen for me. In another case, my sister got married for the first time at 42. Just before her husband came along, she and I prayed for spouses. It happened to her but not to me. But for some reason, I felt like the man she ended up marrying was not right for her. I even felt like the Lord told me that he was not for her that there was going to be someone else. My sister would not have believed me if I told her that. Everyone in my family was not crazy about him, including me. He was not "born-again" and would often say crude and dirty jokes. My sister wanted to marry him so that she can have children and quit her lousy job. Perhaps that was why she was in love. He didn't want to get married in the first place but she and others talked him into it. They are still married after 30 years but I think it hasn't been a great marriage, even though she says it is.

Especially if the men are single and have no children. Why would any man invest his resources, his time, his energy and his emotions on another man's bastard child? Usually it's the single mothers that are the most picky, but too bad they weren't picky when they chose the father of their children. I have 2 rules in life 1) I do not mess with married women and 2) I do not mess with single mothers . I am a man who has never been arrested in his life I've never done drugs I don't steal I do not smoke and I do not drink. I believe in God and go to church regularly I am a Christian. I am now in my early fifties and I often wonder why I am alone. I've asked God that question thousands of times and all I hear is crickets and that's on a good day. I am not rich nor do I have six pack abs but I can provide any woman security and resources. A few years ago I broke my rule #2 and I went out on two dates with a 26 year old single mother. She only had one child a little girl. Are dates were perfect and very romantic. I even got to steal a kiss from her on the 2nd date, a good passionate one at that. But a third or fourth date was not meant to be because she had withdrawn for me and called it off. After spending a couple hours on the phone talking to her trying to get answers I came to suspect that the real reason was because I was almost twice her age. I am 53 years old now and at the time I was 46 or maybe she decided to wait for Mr. Perfect who knows. I think the real reason why I broke my number to rule was because she was only 26 and I wanted to have children. At 26 she was young enough to give me the children that I wanted. Most women today that are available to me are in their late forties with kids. They have nothing to offer me; their beauty is gone and their fertility is gone. They have nothing to offer me but a dried up vagina and another man's bastard child. These are the women that are the most picky.

And she had enough faith that she knew she didnt know how...but she knew he would come. She found him, through an free online dating site. And he was exactly on the same path she was. Everything that was on her list, a man that is responsible with his growth in Christ, and she even threw in specifics like..she wanted him to have a built in home van like her to travel the country. And he had a truck! I saw the little pictures she put on her board. God granted all of her requests. All you need is a little faith the size of a mustard seed, and he will grant your prayers. I don't know that I completely agree with what he's saying @5:49. @@danfn1578 I have determined what I want in a partner, actually. I don't want a man with a criminal record, I don't want someone who does drugs, I don't want someone who's addicted to porn, none of that. I just want a Christian man who produces all of the fruits of the spirit. And my emotions are pretty good at this time. Plus, I just got a new job. There aren't a lot of single men my age at my church. A lot of the men there are married and old enough to be my grandpa/great grandpa. There is one single looking man there.

@@ashleeearl0712 or perhaps look at different places and be opened to where you meet your future partner. It doesn’t have to be one setting. If you keep an open mind and remain flexible, you just might find the right connection when you least expect it. Maybe other men you have met who you found attractive enough and had a friendly demeanor, maybe God gave you a chance to pursue them, but there were things getting in the way of you pursuing them. Men who could have been a truly great fit for you. That’s what I have really learned with woman I missed out on. Finding the right one takes time. I’m still single, and I feel God working in me but it’s not always easy

I theologically knew the sovereignty aspects of God for most of my Christian walk. But until know my actions are starting to reflect that sovereignty. Because it was I know God is sovereign but didn't act that way. I've been saying to myself that "it is His boat not mine" for the past several years. I wanted to move south so God provided me with a really good job up in Minnesota. Thanks for the videos and having a website, unlike many content creators out there that only have a KZbin channel or other social media accounts.
