I really like the idea of powering up skills through use. I was just playing through Bayonetta 3, and each time I get a weapon I have enough skill points to unlock a whole bunch of the added moveset right off the bat. But the amount of skills is overwhelming and I always end up sticking to the same few combos. There are some skills you have to upgrade through use, and because of that, I know how to mix those moves into combat more effectively since I was trying to get those uses up. It helps a lot towards making sure your playstyle is varied.

I AM SO READY for a more emotional Kratos in this game! His expressions and subtleties are phenomenal! I can already tell I'm gonna LOVE Judge's performance! The little bits of dialogue in here are so great; you can get so much personality and past experience out of them alone! Espeically the "we get ready for fights we aren't prepared for..." AMAZING. So much backstory in that single sentence. I can imagine him spending his whole life without the luxury of preparation, of the luxury to be afraid hardening into a resolve to endure. And the chance to get inside his head more with the journal entries?!!? omg!!!!

The norse god of war games are everything a video game should be. A perfect blend of amazing gameplay we can’t wait to play more of, and an amazing story we can’t wait to see more of. That perfect blend is almost entirely unheard of these days. A game either has fun gameplay and a boring story, or boring gameplay and a good story. We rarely see both.

The funny thing is I haven't actually beaten the First God of War yet. I bought in on launch and loved it but only got like 9/10 hours in because my PS4 was sounding so much like a jet engine i just couldn't continue. I tried later once I got a headset but just couldn't get back into the game. When I got my ps5 I started again but only got like 2 hours as I couldn't get back into the game. I have tried again recently so I'm hoping I can finally beat the game. I won't before Ragnarok releases but once I get to my furthest point ever I should be able get into the game to where I beat and then I can go for ragnorok :)
