History of Indian rupee 1. Magadh (Bihar) scholar *Acharya Chanakya* named silver coin Ruprupa during Mauryan empire. 2.Later Ruprupa also used during Gupta empire..& Patna(patliputra) manufacture sliver coin(Ruprupa) during Gupta rule 3.After that shershah Suri(sasaram, bihar) defeated humayu & then he named Indian coins(bronze) rupiah later mughal & Britishers also continued this name...so that Indian rupya is the oldest currency in the world named by *Acharya Chanakya*

If we consider Indian rupee to be the next global currency, it would be good for India but I don't like the monopoly of any currency that represents a country. I think there should be a new currency made whose value increases or decreases by combining all the currently available currencies of the world. In my opinion we should call a currency a global currency only if it depends on all the other currencies. I'm not an economist and there might be some disadvantages of such system. I guess the most hardest thing is to agree all the countries to make such currency. If anyone knows other disadvantages, please let me know.

Those stupid central banks who have parked their gold in USA will never get back that gold from USA. RBI is also one of those central banks. As a fact of hidden matter the present price of gold is much much suppressed than it's real value. That's why Indie must import much and much gold not bothering about balance of trade. Gold import is real investment unlike petroleum imports which is a pure expenditure

Actual currency has physical value. Like gold , silver , copper , grains , fruits, Notes don't have physical value, they are just pieces of paper. Using notes as currency has increased inflation since the last century.
