It's not that Gordan dislikes Americans, it's that American TV producers told Gordon what captivates American audiences. So he plays up to that.

The thing with Hell’s Kitchen is that usually he has a good reason to be mad because the chefs fuck up so much. When we just watch highlights of him screaming it just makes it seem like he’s screaming for no reason.

Yup.. I have been a line cook/sous all my life. When watching these guys cook.. it's like yikes some stuff is not that difficult to do. I also worked in high-pressure, high paced restaurants.. but I can see how the producers would sabotage for "excited" moments
@slippyquack7672 Жыл бұрын
Because he "has" to deal with arrogant egotistical (self proclaimed) professionals that make rookie mistakes when they should know better- which could seriously injure someone or get a customer incredibly sick, and being that the premise of one of the shows is that the winner gets to work in one of his restaurants I can see why. Not to mention he himself is passionate and prideful about cooking as well, and their fuck-ups could reflect poorly on him for having bad judgement in hiring them. He tends to be much more gentle and kinder when deal with the spin off involving kids though, as he understands that they're still growing, learning, and understanding that they're going to make mistakes so dares not to expect perfection from them as he would an adult who acts like they're even above him.

What people don't understand when working in restaurants, there is so much competition with the cooks.. I worked as a line cook/sous chef all my life.. we know what we gone thru to get to the top.. if you don't work as a team, it all goes down. So sometimes we don't have time for people that can't handle the heat. When lots of passionate cooks want a shot, and those come rare.. of course there's a line, and it's not like it used to be. I nvr yelled at someone, maybe just spoke loud lol. As a team we don't take shit personal, cause we know we fked up and we tell it how it is.. at the end we have family meal we seat down and laugh about the night.. those that come back are respected
@M2161 Жыл бұрын
I feel like this was deep for no reason. He knows that his outburst will get views and make good TV, but also all the chefs he works with are self proclaimed professionals who make mistakes that not even beginners make. So he’s upset that they are lying and inflating their skills to come off as better than they are to sooth their ego.

The teams in the UK Hells Kitchen were comprised of British celebrities, that is why he seemed to go easier on the UK cooks in that show. The American Hells Kitchen teams were comprised of normal Americans who were already in the trade and wanted to become full blown Chef's...basically the American cooks should have known better than to make silly mistakes seeing as cooking was their everyday job...this is why Gordon loses his shyt in American Hells Kitchen.

Can we talk about how he got fired after being preyed up on as a teenager from a gross old hag?????????? Also My theory is he started out like that and then that fizzled out as he got older. However when he started tv in America he was absolutely 100% playing a character. from time to time you can tell when he was genuinely pissed like when he screamed "not as pissed as I am " in the guys face but the majority of the time you can tell when the outbursts are all tv. these days he doesn't do that on American shows atall. no surprise considering Americans don't really want to see that kind of tv anymore. so we only see moments when he is really pissed and even then its usually pretty mild. likely cuz he's older I doubt he acts like that in real life anymore.
@walteralcaraz5898 Жыл бұрын
Gross old hag? He said he was 19 and she was 33. So, 33 is "gross" and "old" now? Also, he called her "hot", so, I don't know where you got "gross" and "hag" from. Unless you are trying to project your own experiences onto things.
