Good muay Tai includes boxing, but focusing on hands as much as legs is important.

It is rare to find a martial artist who is open to training multiple arts and not throw shade at others

I feel like women should definitely learn how to strike. Not because they're gonna be knocking guys that may attack them out but because they more than even men need to know how to defend strikes and roll shots and also maintain distance.

A striking, grappling, throws, joint locks/pressure points, and a weapon = a complete martial artist You have a great philosophy

Here's the thing I would caution people about though. picking up striking and being really good at it takes a long fucking time. It's not like BJJ. Someone can go from white belt to really, really good blue belt pretty fast depending on the school. With striking it takes a shit ton of time to get the technique right and the reaction time A1. Guys who are not very good at striking yet trying to strike with people int he street are in danger at all times.

I'd say it takes longer to develop grappling you could actually use in a fight then it does to develop striking you could use. Both take a while and it also depends on body type, athletism and personality but in general i'd after a few months of good boxing training you could use it on the street but for grappling its probably going to take at least a year.

Yeah like karate takes a long long time to get a black belt compared to my friend who got state champion in 8 months I believe
@JEFFMAN902 ай бұрын
Thats not true. Its easier to get better at striking fast then it is in BJJ
@christianjames922 ай бұрын
@@JEFFMAN90 If you go to a great BJJ school, which will cost a shit ton of money to be fair, you can vastly go from rom a white be;t to being able to neutralize any non trained person within 4 to 5 months. .

U learn to let ppl think they can beat u. B4 i knew jitzu i had no prob fightin in the street. Now im a good person that backs down 1st. Wtf is this good man shit ?
