My Harry Potter story is quite different from yours brizzy. I remember in 4th grade, every kid seemed crazy over the Harry Potter books in our school library. The library even had a mural of Harry Potter on his broom. I really wanted to read the books but my parents did not allow me to read them because of witchcraft. When the first movie came out on DVD, my friend (also neighbor) rented the movie and invited me to watch it. I asked my parents if I could but again they were strict about. So I went over there and we watched it anyways...although the movie was only halfway through when my dad came to pick me up. Of course I got in trouble. Over the years I was always so jealous of Harry Potter fans always talking about the books and movies, spoiling info for me. It wasn't until my first year of college when I finally watched all the movies. I am so glad I can finally be apart of this, I am now a Harry Potter fan and I think I always was even though I wasn't allowed to read or watch them. Now I gotta read the books! P.S I'm a Gryffindor! I thought I would have been a hufflepuff but I'm like Neville Longbottom

Good for you! I don't like the people who say they're in Gryffindor without actually taking a test or thinking about it and honestly placing themselves there (I think we are better judges than Pottermore because we know ourselves better than a website). I'll be a Ravenclaw forever and I always have been, except for the first time I watched the movies, I saw all my favorite characters were in Gryffindor (HERMIONE!), and I barely even knew Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff existed... how I wish I'd read the books first! I read the first one in first or second grade though and that's when I realized I was probably in Ravenclaw more, but I still considered myself a 'Gryffinclaw" for a while. Of course, I have a lot of Gryffindor traits, such as eagerness to try new things, and I'm a bit of a risk-taker. I also have a lot of Hufflepuff and Slytherin traits too :)

I didn't get into Harry Potter until Jr. High. We had to get these things called AR points, which are Accellerated Reader points. Each book is worth said number of points, and so I chose the Harry Potter books. I had seen the first movie when I was little, in Elementary school, but didn't really get into it too much at the time. Then read every book, one per term, from the beginning of 7th grade to about the middle of 8th grade. Then watched all of the movies after each term after finishing one of the books. Each book was worth around 50 points, and we only needed like 20 per term. Read an hour per day, every day in class. Loved it, still always go back to rewatch them. Regretting selling the books though, because now I kind of want to go back and reread every one again.

Justin Klumpp Oh my gosh yes. My school still uses them. I read them because I had seen the movies and thought that they were amazing. Okay so I'm going to write this as if I were in the grade I was last year. We get graded on what our level is and if you are reading at that level and on the number of points each book is. And it just so happens that all the Harry Potter books are right at my level and have enough points for me to pass if I read them. At first I was worried that I would never finish the books but I was hooked and after the first and second books, I finished each and every other book in a time span of 2-5 days. Let me tell you, I got the highest grade in English then I even had in my entire life.

I remember when I was in 1st grade, and my mom sat me down and told me she was going to read to me: Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. My first impression was excitement for a new book series because I was dabbling in The Magic Tree House series. When she was reading the Harry Potter book, I became completely enthralled and I was lost in the magic of the book. I too was suprised when Hagrid told Harry "Yer a wizard Harry". I became so excited because the book took a turn for the better for Harry. When she stopped reading, I took the book from her and tried reading it on my own. It was hard at first, I asked for the pronunciation of a lot of words, but I worked my hardest for it, because I wanted to be able to experience the magic any time I wanted to. Harry Potter became my obsession. When I finished the forth book l, asked my mom for the fifth, and when she told me it wasn't out yet, I remember being sad because I couldn't keep reading. So I bought a shirt and dressed up as Harry every Halloween. When the fifth book came out, I did not stop reading it until I was done. Harry Potter was quickly becoming my life, and I was loving it. So fast foward to now, I am 18, I have read every book dozens of times, I can almost quote every movie, and Harry Potter is still my favorite book series of all time. I am even decorating my dorm room with a huge map of the wizarding world, a Ravenclaw Banner (WHOOP WHOOP RAVENCLAW), and a Gryffindor pillowcase. Even though the series is long over, It will forever last in my heart and it sparked my love for reading. Hermonie will forever be my spirit animal, and like I said WHOOP WHOOP RAVENCLAW
