Guys like Pogba, Lindelof & Rashford are so talented, you couldn’t keep them from good play forever. I look at the likes of Shaw, Matic, Ander... OGS has them playing at another level as well, and that’s what’s impressive to me! Lukaku is a 1 trick pony, who lacks any sort of first touch. Every pass has to be absolutely perfect, or he botches it. He can’t run underneath the ball, like Martial & Rashford can, so it takes away the ability of Pogba who excels at the long balls & crosses. Also, marginal guys like Jones & Smalling are also playing as well as they’ve played in years! OGS has transformed the squad! It’s undeniable! I really hope he gets the job, but I still want to wait until we get through March/April, before any rash decisions are made.

I think ruling out Lukaku out of the Man Utd squad completely and going so far saying he would be sold if Ole becomes full time manager is completely wrong. He will definitely keep Lukaku just because of his physicality. He is the striker who can actually bully defenders and force them to make errors. This creates huge opportunity to not so physical players like Rashford and Martial to cut inside and score past the keeper. They aren't made for hardwork. They are better technically and hence better finishers. On other hand, Lukaku is a Player who can run up and down on the pitch and linking up with Herrera and Pogba which Rashford rarely does. The only other player who does this is Lingard. Also Mata is a great CF who has incredible passing range and vision. He can create, he can even score. But only thing that beats him is his pace. He is on little slow side so not a winger. In my opinion United should play with 5-3-2 formation. Shaw and Young being the wingbacks who can attack and defend well on the wings. Also Young being up high on the pitch can stop both Mane/Salah and Robertson. Robertson is a real threat. Back 3 consists of Lindelof, Bailly and Smalling. Lindelof can be a ball player as well as excellent defender. Smalling beats attacker in the aerial department and is good overall. Bailly can bully attackers like Salah. Midfield as usual of Pogba, Matic and Herrera with Herrera being the bridge between attack and defence. Pogba in more attacking role behind Rashford and Lukaku since Pogba can lay out good passes to Lukaku who in turn can open up Rashford to score. Also Pogba can head the ball if a cross comes from either wing by Shaw or Young. Rashford pace and Lukaku's physical strength can work out wonders if used properly. Matic with his usual defensive play and playing good passes to Herrera/Pogba.

Just go back and rewatch the fan cams from every single game: Fans have been raving about him, nominating him as MOTM for just about every game. Which is a stunning leap considering he was not in anyone's favor last year. Maybe it's because I'm Swedish (and everyone else is not ;)), it seems I'm the only one who connects Sweden's tremendous run at the World Cup-the farthest Sweden has come in the tournament since the 1950s-and Lindelöf's role in that team, with the fact that he came back a different man and a different player after the summer. While everyone talks about Pogba and World Cup winner, bla bla. Rightfully so (except this bollocks that he won the WC for them)-except France winning the WC makes exactly no one raise an eyebrow. Sweden advancing as far as they (we) did in comparison, that was a heroic _feat;_ the biggest sensation since "the Icelandic wonder" at the 2016 Euro's. I'm honestly amazed at how some/most pundits are paid to sit on tv and -TALK- "analyze." Be better. 🇸🇪

PP with Herrera and Matic behind works. Silva is better and so is KDB. Kante is only other midfielder on their level but defensively

What do all these players have in common? De Bruyne, Salah, Hazard, Ronaldo, Pogba. All marquee attacking players who Mourinho couldn't get the best out of or fell out with. And why would Utd or any team spend £90m (a club record) on Pogba then play him in the wrong position? Because Mourinho is a total failure. Pogba was not just a squad player, you play to his strengths and build the attack around him. His best position was not 20 yards back with Fellani in midfield. We are only starting to see his true potential now, add the right signings to this Utd team and he'll get better.

Pogba is a talented player, but let's please move on. How about focusing on areas Utd need to improve on for next season.

He just go one and blame the manager. He could given a stern warning .. " it would be cheaper to sack the manager than sacking you" If you dont improve you are Next On The Line..... May be??
@targetthyself5 жыл бұрын
Because he doesn't have a fat dry fart of a Portuguese man screaming at him every time he does something other than punt it down the wings? He doesn't have 10 teammates who hate every second of their existence. These things changing tend to improve players quite a bit.

Play attacking football with attacking players you get good performances. You play Pogba further up field, where he should be, he gets goals and assists.

Trouble is, too many kids, FIFA generation, chavs, and roadmen idolise Pogba too much. Pogba plays a simple 5yard pass, they're fapping away left right centre, going "look how amazing that was, lit" etc etc. In reality, Herrera has been just as good. Pogba cannot do what he's done, without Herrera clearing up. Matic has also greatly improved, but Herrera has been on true world class form.

Lukaku will be used in a part exchange for a top class, left footed forward. Griezmann or Dybala would top the list. Maybe even Douglas Costa (although United would be expecting a few as well in that case).
@akarex2k95 жыл бұрын
I know exactly why, because he's playing in an attacking system, he's playing with a lot more freedom, he has a manager who knows how to play attacking & free flowing football & who believes in him. Does the last prick that was in charge match any of those?? NOOO!

Pogba is the best midfielder in the premier League as well as world class!!
@jibrilhalane1825 жыл бұрын
He didn't improved as a player but his performances improved because now the coach is trying to play on his strenght. Not like Mourinho who tried to turn him into John Obi Mikel and threw him under the bus, hoping to save his ass. It's the same with Kante. He isn't very good right now but if you change the system and the coach, he would soon become good again. When a player is out of his position, he can't play at his best. It as simple as that !

Pogba and the rest have been given the freedom to play.. as silly as that sounds it's that simple. Seems as though under Mourinho a lot of the players were restricted in how they played the game.

As a United fan I think Liverpool is an unbeatable side.. and especially at home United seems to be vulnerable as they'd expected to play possession footbal at homel, though, our squad is built as a counter-attacking unit. Therefore, I won't be surprised if Liverpool beat us on Sunday.. GGMU!

Sometimes friendliness/forebearance yields a better outcome than fierceness/harshness. This is what I feel like to be the most fundamental difference between Solskjaer's attitude and interactions with his players and Mourinho's. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Allah is Friendly/the Forebearer, and loves friendliness/forebearance and rewards friendliness/forebearance while he does not reward fierceness/harshness, and he does not reward for anything besides it (forebearance)."

It is simple. He is being trusted to play and United as a whole are not sitting so deep so he has more runners to hit like with the France team .
@elleonken75995 жыл бұрын
Because he play when he feels like it, and doesn't play when he doesn't feel like (just like Hazard). Which is exactly why these two will never reach the levels of Ronaldo & Messi, because they lack the hunger to be on top all the time.

No insult intended but Lukaku, in his prefered position, is like a black hole sucking all the energy from the team. Good shout from Higginbottom regarding Gill, losing those two heads at the same time was corporate criminality, and led directly to Dec 2018.
@rahul03155 жыл бұрын
All we have to do is pocket him and we should be fine vs united considering martial and lingard (if they even play) won’t be 100% fit. If rashford doesn’t get service from pogba he’s pretty much an average player. PSG pocketed pogba and they won comfortably

A difference between Pogba and Jorginho. PSG aren't the only one that tried. Chelsea failed massively with Kante. PSG sacrificed their DM who had a very good game but it wasn't till Dani alves also came that Pogba really struggled

@@arno222444 It wasn't only marquinhos that was on Pogba, it was more like 3 players that was on Pogba whenever he got the ball it was normally Dani Alves, marquinhos and Julian Draxler it was a really good game by Thomas tuchel but also a testament to how good and impactful Pogba really is and he still was one of the better players for United in that game.

1 minute in and already annoyed at the ignorance showed lol Ole has worked wonders and made astute tactical decisions but Lindelof, while he has massively improved from his first season was one of the few players who flourished in Jose at the start of this season - Ole has come in and let his momentum continue but he’s isn’t the catalyst for his improved form.
@Nhleko93035 жыл бұрын
Well true but he has let Lindelof show the best side of his game which is taking the ball up from the back. He never got to do that under Mourinho because they sat back

YES ! Confidence is good but you need good quality players which we have only a few and a tactician like pep, jurgen klopp, Tuchel etc to rebuild, and transform the team into an European best or classic MAN. UTD. Just sell Deadwood FC's in the team. Get a tactician. A good analyser and reader of games, Tactics-Minded etc.
