Being a resident of Chandigarh, we are happy with the central government administration. Punjab is a very financially unstable state where people do not follow rules. 6th CPC is there in Punjab where as 7th CPC is there in centre. Therefore employees are happy with this decision. The state government is only trying to play with the emotions of people of Punjab.

As a resident of a UT Daman I want Chandigarh to remain a UT . Gujarat too wants Daman but being a Gujarati myself I would oppose the idea . Daman is so much well kept and maintained than the rest of the cities in Gujarat which are under the state Govt. , If Daman is handed to Gujarat it too will suffer a similar fate as the rest of its towns . Candigarh was developed and designed by the center . The centeral Govt. has invested a lot in Chandigarh . If Chandigarh goes to any state Govt . it will become just like any other city in Punjab or Haryana . The beauty and management of Chandigarh we praise would be lost .

Chandigarh issue . In facts when the bifurcation of MAHA PUNJAB was created into 3 states in hasty and erratic manners Punjab lost most of her area and revenues, Haryana manage to get bigger bite. Himachal just remained silenced. did not claim KALKA tehsil Which was to be the part of Himachal. Punjab must have got the districts of AMBALA & KARNAL areas. It's imperative that to solve the present problem it ahould be re done .

Having a new capital will create more infrastructure and facilities for the people of the state and Haryana's politicians are using the sentiments to protect their own investments in Chandigarh. @@amit1657 green revolution was brought in punjab,haryana and western UP which had fertile soil. the immediate need was to grow staple food especially rice.govt isn't concerned about the state,it was an experiment on state. even though wheat is main staple diet of punjab, under orders of central govt rice was grown . but this led to a fall in watertable of punjab which has caused water shortage in many parts.the water of rivers is being sent to delhi,rajasthan and haryana leaving hardly about 20% water of the rivers which is also sent to pakistan as per india pakistan treaty. water has become an issue in punjab. Central govt is taking no action in this case. so people are not thankful for green revolution. they are demanding greater share of water from rivers and a ban on rice cultivation in punjab. people had hopes from bjp govt but the 3 farm bills made punjabis discern bjp

From 1966 till now there was no dispute between Haryana and Punjab regarding Chandigarh. The people of both the states have lived with great love among themselves. These are just political parties that keep people fighting. I had high hopes from AAP party that it will work for the development of Punjab but this party is playing with the sentiments of the people of Punjab by simply using Chandigarh. I am from Haryana but I would like Chandigarh to remain a union territory so that there is no dispute between the two states. And Sat Shri Akal from my side to the brothers of Punjab.

If Chandigarh goes to Punjab, then Haryana needs a capital, also funds to build it. If Chandigarh goes to Haryana, then Punjab needs capital and funds. If Chandigarh remains a UT, and rules of UT are enforced, then both Punjab and Haryana would needs funds for new capitals. And if Chandigarh becomes a common capital for both Punjab and Haryana, then this issue will remain persistent. If we see historically, Chandigarh rightfully belongs to Punjab, but it has been made a UT, while no development of capitals in both states were made since then....which has led this issue raised again and again. Another reason Punjab is not willing to back off, is because of it's weak economic conditions and building a new capital would only hurt it's already weak economy. I wish Centre takes decision wisely taking into account of every aspect related to the matter, so that neither of both states feel inequality.

Each and every parent state which got capital after partition of state is due to the distance of the capital from the state... Lucknow is far away from the whole uttarakhand. Mumbai is far away from the whole state of Gujrat. Similarly for patna. The newly formed Telangana State gets the hyderabad as capital not the parent state Andhra Pradesh which is also because of distance of the capital from the state. So you can't say ,every time in past the parent state got the capital. But chandigarh is closed to both Panjab and Hariyana. So you can't claim the chandigarh as they should only be the capital of Panjab as because panjab is parent state. There should be some sensible solution. Not the biased one.

ਹੁਣ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਵੰਡ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ, ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਕੁਝ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਦਮ ਮੁੱਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਈਏ ਇੱਥੇ ਬੁਲਾਉਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ, ਫੇਰ ਬੌਂਦਲ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਘਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ, ਹੁਣ ਫੜ ਲਿਓ ਥਣ ਭਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਲਿਓ, ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਹਿਮਾਚਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਯੂਪੀ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨੇ ਫਲੈਟ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉੱਥੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ, ਧਰਮ ਯੁੱਧ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਦੀ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਆ, ਇੱਥੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਫਿਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਡੰਡੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੋਸ਼ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਜਾਉੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ, ਫਿਰ ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਓ ਇੱਕਠੇ ਹੋਵੋ ਧਰਮ ਯੁੱਧ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਲਾਓ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਵੇ ਉਹ ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ ਆਵੇ ਪਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਦੀ ਵੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਨੀ, ਜਮੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਦੇਣੀ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, ਅੰਬਾਲਾ, ਪੰਚਕੂਲਾ, ਊਨਾ, ਗੰਗਾਨਗਰ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਗਰ (j&k) ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਨੇ, ਤੇ ਜੇ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤਾਂ ਦਿਓ, ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਿਓ, ਤੇ ਖਾਲਸਾਈ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਲਿਓ। ਕੰਮ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕਰੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਚੱਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਰਹੇ ਕੋਈ ਫਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਕਲੋਨੀਆਂ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਘੇਰਾਬੰਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਨੋਟ - ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਦੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁਮੈਂਟ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਕੇਸ ਨਬੇੜ ਲੈਣ, ਇਹ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ।
