Relationships in the English speaking west are just too risky, too much drama and just...too unpleasant for men. The ladies are just insufferable...too much work. First dates now are little more than a job interview....that you pay for. I was married for 30+ yrs, the last 10 yrs was an absolute nightmare. I would work all day (had a well paying professional career) and dread going home. Anecdotally...amongst my family/friends/former workmates, 60% are divorced and 35% are stuck in miserable marriages...I know 2 cpls that appear to be happy. Divorced in 2017 and moved out of the US...lost 60% of my net worth to a cheating wife. Nah yeh nah...never again.

Although I met and spoke to a few friendly and beautiful Thai women, I had no interest or desire to pursue a relationship again. Hi Mark, society has changed!. Western women see marriage as a career path, & divorce as a retirement plan. In fact, 60% of all weddings in the west are just a pre-divorce ceremony. You'll also notice that in recent times, there has been a gradual upgrade in the Philippines, in that there's a growing middle class... Filipinas are gradually becoming more westernised. & absolute divorce is not so far off for the Philippines. 😬

What the Philippines government needs to now realize, is that there is massive amounts of talent entering the country, and rather than keeping the current laws that say foreign men cant work, or making it difficult to start a business, they should reverse those laws and allow the talented western men to enrich their country with their skills and ideas and labor. I feel the Philippines could really benefit greatly if they realized the potential of the men that are coming there. While America declines, the philippines could grow to be the most successful country in all of SE Asia if they just removed the restrictions and allowed western men to contribute. For instance, i have a backround in communications, electronics, renewable energy, and IT. But if i ever get there all my talents will go to waste. They really should use it as an opportunity. America is going to suffer a brain drain, the Philippines should take advantage of that. It could very well end their reliance on the US by taking advantage of the strength and talents of the US men who are coming there.

As a recently divorced person, married for 8 years. First marriage, and most probably my last. It is the burn out that gets you You commit and love someone then it degenerates to very stressful drama and betrayal. Perhaps when you are young you still have a very wide berth, but when you are in your late 50's or early 60's, and you have health issues and mortality has become a reality, you just don't want to deal with the stress and drama anymore. It is just not worth it. You just don't want to stress yourself with all that BS just to get laid. Not worth it. As Reekay of Life Beyond the Sea so insightfully said in one of his uploads. "Sometimes, it is better to be alone, than being with someone and you wish you are alone." Anyone who experienced a dying relationship knows what that means.

The problem with America is the excessive materialism. A lot of these "modern" women are spoiled & selfish. I'm sure there are some traditional Christian women but they're probably taken. I'm a woman in my Low 60s, and I am very traditional. After a messy divorce In the U.S I left for Finland 12 years ago. It's a whole different ball game over here. Nobody cares about the size of your house or portfolio. Most people here judge you on your character. It's refreshing.

Hey Mark. Wow. What a topic indeed. So. As a disclaimer I will say that I was in a 30 year relationship. I was married 28.5 years of that and then she died of cancer. That was 8 years ago. I fully understood that things changed in America. The ladies seemed entitled and wanted an upgrade from where they are to even date you. Then I came to SE Asia. Add language barrier. They too want an upgrade. I tried a relationship with a Filipina not quite 20 years younger but for the sake of argument she was 43 and I was 63. She had 2 Twenty something sons. Talk about hey who is this foreigner? I tried to make it work for over a year. It was a losing battle. No one bothered to talk in English much less to me. It is worse to be with people and feel alone than it is to be alone. It was ok for her sons to steal from me. It was ok to ask me for money to give to her family and friends. This Filipina had all kinds of utang and she was OFW and I had to pay for it all. She worked hard for a long time but when I came, she laid on the couch and took naps. So did her sons. Everyone sleeps nicely except me! All of the horror stories I heard of... they were embodied in this one Filipina. My goodness. I am NOT dating anymore. You bet. It is no different here than anywhere else. If you guys find a good one ... congratulations. Count me out. They all figured I was Bill Gates rich. They all thought I would just pay everything and give them the life they always wanted. Even though I told her I was Pobre before I met her. They do not believe you! They think that is a joke. Well, they thought wrong. I saw how it was in the States and I see how it is in SE Asia. I. Am. Done. Permanently. Trust and believe... this is no utopia for dating.

If man would treat their wife’s as the do there Filipinas Maybe there would be better longer lasting marriages . I married for 56 years to the same man. Of course I never hounded my husband for things we could not afford. But I also know man that not put a lots of thought in to there marriages . The wanted a big truck ,a boat motor home ,big holidays while the wife’s could not buy cloth for themselves or the children All these expats complain about there wife’s but there are man out there that are narcissist to.

I'm a 40-year old Canadian. I have no interest in western women generally. For me, it is more of the materialistic, entitled, attitude that many western women have. Of course, I have met some amazing, humble, SEA women in my travels, and that reinforces my feelings. I see so many married men in North America who are unhappy. Even just walking down the street here, listening to some conversations...I thank god that I am not attached to women like that. Not to mention the fact that I have my free time to myself and I'm saving a LOT of money. I travel 2 or 3 times per year, mainly to Thailand for now, and that keeps me more than happy until such time as I can afford to move to SEA and find a woman who is genuinely loving, attractive, humble and family oriented.

The laws especially in NJ . You could take a girl out drop her off tipsy home . Then a day later she could imagine that she was raped . A guy is immediately arrested on a false charge and possibly imprisoned for years . Woman have multiple partners and could accuse you of being the father when your not yet your paying child support. Getting married lots of men get divorce raped and I had a friend that was falsely accused by his wife of child abuse and being a batterd wife . He was almost arrested but his child visitation was taken away . He had to go to court and take classes for things he didn’t do . Women tend to use children to get revenge or money from the father . Thankfully he got a phone recording of her admitting she fabricated the whole thing . I’ve been single for 19 years , no dating no stress , peace and happiness. Maybe if I retire overseas the culture would be more conducive to my liking . Ironically when I was younger I told my cousins not to date American women but Asian or from the far East . My one cousin married a Filipino and she is wonderful and they are living the dream and his brother married and Japanese Columbian and they are on a second child living the dream so they did well . I’m so happy for them .

American men i believe are not setting a high 'standard' for american women, american women young or older whether they have chidlren or not may not have had a good relationship with men, are setting a higher standard for men. Men are saying no thanks. Filapinas overall seem to be very accepting of american men.

Throughout history societies that allow women to vote spiral in an endless decline until failure and total collapse occurs.

When I moved from The northeast to Florida in 2018 I thought all The beaches like siesta key, lido beach, Venice beach etc would have hot girls in bikinis- wow I was disappointed. All fat people. Entire beach hundreds of people. Maybe 3 or 4 fit attractive girls

The hell with what people think, it's all about if speaking against you will score them points in the public's eye. Donald Trump is 24 years older than Melania Floyd Mayweather is 20 years older than Gallienne Nabila. No one is age gap shaming them or others of their kind. Before I left the states my daughter had a conversation with me about one of her friends who's dad left the country and found love in a much younger lady, yet more mature comparable to their U.S. counterpart. And most men simply envy you if he feels like he deserves what you have and he has no real way of achieving your results; no matter how much money he has. Manage and live your life and watch how fast you'll outgrow those around you✌🏾
