As for the philosophical transplant topic, I really think that with all the work you are doing now to help so many people, you can feel justified in accepting a transplant if that does become an option. Just something to think about… I have a relative that just had a transplant and he is going through all of these secondary procedures that you’re going through now, so it’s not a cure all by any means but I really think you are someone who is meant to get through to a lot of people and I am grateful for you!

If this helps motivate someone to quit drinking or continuing your sober streak, my brother ended up with not only cirrhosis, but also bile duct cancer and then liver cancer. It is a major cause of death around the world, especially the U.S.

LD -if you ever decide to do another video like this to explain again about the ascities I will be a studious listener since I would like to understand more about how those things form -and why and what is the therapy to get rid of it and is it a threat to your health and so forth. My neighbour who had cancer at the end of her life had a problem with that and had to go to the hospital to have it drained every other day and I had a friend whose father had a problem with that also at the end of his life, so I guess this happens to a lot of people, but I don’t know that much about it but I know that you also had it…❣️FEEL GOOD FOR THE NEW YEAR AND KNOW THAT YOU HAVE FRIENDS, a GREAT FAMILY AND DOCTORS WHO ARE TAKING CARE OF YOU..❣️Happy NewYear! Ugh the nausea is terrible for me too. My drs tell me it’s most likely my gallbladder causing it & not my cirrhosis.. but idk. It’s the worst though. I’m unable to get listed because I can’t walk without a walker yet. It’s defeating but we got this ❤️👌🏻 one day at a time my friend

I understand your reasoning. I have thought about this. I don't think I have asked about second or third opinions. It could be a foregone conclusion, but I'd like to think nothing is impossible. I really hope it isn't. There are a lot more understanding now of this being a disease and not condemning people for damaging their liver through drinking. My father reminded me of a friend of my uncle who had cirrhosis and they wouldn't put him on a list. This was 40 years ago. So I don't know. It stands to reason that a vein might be able to be reused. I haven't done a lot of research on transplant complications or portal vein problems. If your spleen has caused a bunch of trouble I don't know why it wasn't removed. My hat goes off to Will as well. Plenty of people live without it. I am glad you got through this Christmas and hope it was good.

I understand what you mean. When I had acute liver failure and they placed me at the top of the transplant list, I kept hearing the air life helicopters landing and I felt so sad and prayed and told God I didn’t want anyone to die for me…. Well, I ended up walking out of that hospital a few days later with my own liver, and never had issues again. A few years later I was thinking about it and thought … wait -what… Jesus died for me and Gods word says by His stripes I was healed! Isaiah 53:5 We all were; if we accept Jesus! And no I didn’t deserve the healing because sadly it didn’t take me long to compromise my health another 10 years ! :( But God is faithful to us and Glory to God, these days I remain completely healed, and completely sober from all my vices 🎉 I’m praying for you and your family ❤ James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” And you have been a great gift to many! Jesus loves you and all of us! ♥️💯 Be healed however God chooses to heal you! You’re a real miracle and blessing!

Almost all diseases/illnesses are caused from lifestyle choices. Some are genetic but we can control a lot of it. As we age it shows up. Even ppl who don't drink, may have a poor diet & don't move around much, & they'll have very serious problems from it one day. Ppl who don't use sunscreen & spend a lot of time in the sun even. Damage comes in many forms. It's not just addicts. Don't be so hard on yourself. 💚🙏
