i enjoy watching chris's vids. he definitely knows what he talks about. i set up my mini van with 2 sets of 4 bangers , per his videos of them. They are unreal . I do have salvage yard h.i.d. oem with lazer bulbs.Because the halogen was terrible. Then i put in the 4 bangers . Words cannot describe how bright they are.When i turn them off and just the hid on , you would think the halogens were back in . Thats how dim even hid are to 4 banger

Thank you, that was really clear and informative! 👍👏🙏 So Xenon headlights count into the HID category, that is how I understood it. I have Xenons on my ten year old car, and they must have degraded significantly, or are misaligned downwards. I don’t remember them being this bad during the three years I’ve owned the car. I guess I should check the alignment first to see if that helps. The headlight glass itself is not the cause, if so just very little.

Interesting, I didn’t know the halogen bulbs degraded that much. That said, please make a video on what happens with the assembly (be it a reflector or a projector) when we touch the light source with our naked hands/fingers prior to installation. I’m talking about the milky fog on the assembly lens.

Glad you learned something today with us Boris! That is also a good topic to mention! Typically that milky fog you are mentioning comes from the heat of the headlight bulb inside the unit, overtime they tend to craze the lens and fog it over from the inside, while the sun does the same effect to the outside of the headlight lens. That's why oftentimes you'll see older assemblies with little spider-web style cracks on them! Good idea for a future video!

@@HeadlightRevolution In the old days (yes I am THAT old! 😂) reflectors we’re made of metal and lenses were made of glass. The foggy surface I mentioned came from fingers touching the bulb when installing. The fat from the fingers then vaporized off the hot bulb contaminating the entire assembly from the inside. That’s why one never should touch any bulb surface getting hot. All said, I’m from Sweden where there are no limits on the number of aux. lights one can fit - as long as they turn on/off using the high beam lever. Today I live in Central America where the same rules “apply”.

Do Xenon bulbs need burn in time? I have the new Osram D1S CBN 6200k, they are more yellowish like a 5000k, will they become more white or even little blue after time? I'm so disappointed ☹️

Could you tell me what LEDs bulbs sold in Canada you would recommend for a 2015 Nissan Murano SL? I went and bought H11 Sylvania LEDs now I’m questioning my purchase.

Ultimately anything on our website is something we'd recommend for your Murano! The Sylvania LEDs you have will certainly work, however I would be weary of how much glare they'll produce and how well they actually make use of your OEM headlights. can you guys test aftermarket lights for classic body 06 GMC trucks. alot of them show they use H1 bulbs and there's not alot of options for bulbs that I see. either halogen or HID and I don't want the HID to destroy the housing

H1 is a hard platform to upgrade exactly for the reason you mention: There is not many options out there. It's not the best platform for performance from what we have seen, as options are limited. So you are saying I may want to replace my 22-year-old OEM halogen bulbs? Are you saying my night vision may not have degraded as much as I think? Cool. - - - - 72 year old guy. Don't you have problems putting an LED bulb in a halogen reflector? Does the throw pattern tend to blind oncoming drivers?

If your OEM bulbs are 22 years old... yes, replace them!! As long as you buy a quality LED and align them correctly, you should never have to worry about blinding oncoming traffic.
