I agree with you, I’ve really been trying not to get my hopes up too high. But it’s near impossible. This is the most excited I’ve ever been for a game in my life. Cannot wait to get my hands on it, or at least hear/see a little more about the game. It’s been a while

Yes it's so hard. But honestly, if the game does the bare minimum of RPGs (exploration, interactivity and choices) I'm sure it will live up to expectations. Maybe it won't fulfil some of our wildest dreams, but it will be the best Wizarding World experience for sure. Like I said in the video, I don't want that much out of it haha! My dream game kinda looks like a mix of Bully and Fable.

I love your point about the world building aspect of games and how it is better than any other art form. That is why I am so excited for Hogwarts legacy I loved the books and movies but in the later ones I feel like not enough time is spent at Hogwarts and I want to to know more about it. But with this game I can explore it for as long as I want

EXACTLY. When done right, video games are the best story telling medium, without a doubt. And the fun part is that you get to be a part of that world and tell your own story. Hopefully the game will deliver in that regard.

@@loadishstone Fair enough :) I agree that books are fantastic as well (I would even go as far as to say that I prefer them over film). Talking about films though. In the context of fantasy, horror, science fiction or anything close to those genres, movies are the most shallow forms of expression in my opinion (and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Film Production, so I do love cinema haha). And if there's one medium that is limited by budget is film, especially in the indie world. Trust me lol. Drama and comedy are different though, I'm really talking about Genre filmmaking - which is what most video games would be compared to. When it comes to visuals, I don't think games are limited by that anymore. Animated movies for example can convey emotions even more than live action despite not being close to reality. About the mechanics though, I agree. Sometimes games will turn something into a mechanic even if it doesn't make sense. But honestly, I would take those mechanics over the pure passivity of films any day of the week. And most of the time movies suffer SO MUCH from surface level or straight up poor world building mainly because of their length. At least the Harry Potter movies are almost 20 hours long when put together, that's not too bad haha! But for instance, when I watched Dune (which I loved, don't get me wrong) I felt so frustrated to not be able to truly dive into this world and its lore - for that I'd have to read the book. Movies almost feel like rides, where video games or even books feel like true experiences. All forms of entertainment have strengths and weaknesses for sure, but I truly think video games are (or at least will be in the future) the best story telling medium. I'm so excited for this game. Pretty sure I'm speaking for everyone but it's always been a dream to live in the magic world so I really hope this game lives up to its expectations. Only thing that I don't think they will have, which I wanted, was a full 7 years at Hogwarts. It would be cool but that seems like it won't be happening. Nonetheless, cannot wait!

i am looking forward to elden ring. it looks like a great experiance. still, hogwards legacy is the game i wanted for years now. ever sinds i played chamber of secrets on the ps2. so yes. hogwards legacy is the game i realy want to play, and look forward playing the most. i only have 3 game releases i want to buy day 1. in order, hogwards legacy, elden ring and digimon servive. though i know elden ring is first to be released, that is the order of the game i want to play them the most.

I think it would be nice if they had a vampire the masquerade bloodlines style way of getting sorted into a house where you maybe answer some questions and based on that the hat will put you into a specific house

The game seems to be in the localization process right now and was recently featured in an Unreal Engine reel dedicated to games coming out in 2022. So it seems to be going alright. But what rumor are you referring to exactly?

That's weird. Because according to job offers at Warner Brothers, the localization process has started. Which usually means that a game is done content-wise. If I can freely roam around the castle, choose what type of wizard/student I want to be and interact with the world, then I won't be disappointed in the slightest ;)

It's a shame you feel that way. I simply talked about stuff the devs said and shared wishes I have. And the game is not in development hell, I spoke to a couple of employees and more info is coming pretty soon. It's totally okay if you don't care about the game though, to each their own :)
