No it's pronounce Phil-ip it come from the greek words Phil for love and hippos for horses. Translate to english it's written Phillip and in french it's Philippe the only difference in the pronunciation would be that in english there's more emphasis on the Ph ''f'' sound and in french the emphasis is on the letter i which is pronounce like an ''e'' in english. So it sound more like Filip.

Stop Loss was a damn good movie that did much better than you're giving him credit for. Also, Secrets and Lies is a show that changes the entire cast each season because it showcases a new crime/murder each season. He was the lead role in the premiere season and gave a stellar performance as Ben Crawford. The only character that appears in all seasons is Juliette Lewis. So many of these need further research and background work before you post shit.

He is a very solid actor, but maybe because of his depression issues, often comes accross a little too moody for the typical leading men roles, or action hero, buddy movie leads. So not to be type cast in the type of roles he played in Lincoln Lawyer and Damages - both roles he did magnificently, by the way - he should try something far more outside of himself. Find a similar type of role to what Matthew McConnaughey did with the Dallas Buyers Club role, which earned him his first Oscar, or Jack Nichollson when he won an Oscar for the Shining. So anything from an ultra camp gay guy to a demonic psychopat, not forgetting the traditional mentally or physicly challenged roles either, like DiCaprio`s big break through character in What`s Eating Gilbert Grape, and like anyone from Tom Hanks to Russel Crowe also earned Oscar`s from. I doubt he will be out of work as it is, but it would take something as big as an Oscar nomination to truely bring him back into the limelight, and to elevate his career (which still is pretty solid and steady, compared to many others - impressive, compared to the average Hollywood actor/actress; who mostly waits tables).
