I have to tell you that you help bring me back to my why. You help me remember my joy. I am a stay at home homeschooling mom and this warmed my heart. It’s hard sometimes but I wouldn’t want to give it up. I feel so blessed that I have this wonderful privilege to be able to do this. My husband has a wonderful job that he loves and supports our family. Without him I wouldn’t be able to be home with our babies. We took our daughter out of public school at third grade and we will never go back. She is now in 8th and our son is in first grade.

I'm only 2 min in. Lol were ALL tired hahaha. But when you go to the gym, and you get a really good workout in... aren't you tired? But that tired feels sweet, good, exciting, satisfying. It's like that kind of tired. And, like going to the gym, there's some days that are just really hard and you don't like it or have a good time. But most days it is sweet. Edit to add i have LOVED the homemaking content. I have felt a shift and I've seen it lately in many others that the lord is calling a lot of us to turn our attention to our homes. And that doesn't mean you can't or won't work outside the home, I do. But I can have a job but also be a homemaker. You can be both, by desire or necessity. Dunno who needed to hear that but I'm with you whoever you are ❤

You truly are inspiring, I want to always be in the moment. My second year doing a garden and next year I decided to just grow flowers. It is what brings me such joy. Then maybe in a few years go back to planting vegetables. I work out of the home 40 hours and just need to do what brings me joy. Thanks for all you do.

Just sat down and asked my kids if they think about their future families and life when they get older.( they are only 11,13) they both said, individually, different occasions…. Having a big family is so stressful and cost a lot of money i don’t know if I want that!😢 Hit me hard that we are failing in someway our children aren’t seeing the joy of being a big family 🤔made me think On what you were talking about maybe I’m projecting stress of “get it done” than enjoying the moments

Gosh Jill.... What do I say? It starts with YOU! Thank you for taking time out of your day.... the time away from your family....your homesteading routines to share this viedo with the world around you! Gosh... as I listened to you it took me back to my childhood and yes I had to relearn things. But the memories flooded my mind. Fast forward to today, I'm living a dream I had back in the day. I wanted to be like my grandmother & my mother....and here I am! Not only did your talk take me back but it made me think.... what can I do to better myself physically providing for my family and my home. I was always raised up to know there's always something to do in the home. Maybe that was why I learned not to go to my mother with my boredom. She gave me something to do! 😂 I needed this chit chat with you. It has opened my mind to not just the tasks I need to do for the home but maybe helping out more in areas I don't normally do. An example.... yard work such as mowing, picking up random things in the yard. It's something I don't necessarily enjoy! However, if I help others I would help me in the end. That laundry that is in the dryer, I now have an extra hand in folding it. Idk.... just makes you think when others explain it best. Thank you! ❤️ 😊

I DID start my gardening journey because of you and Jess!! ❤❤❤❤❤ it has been a heck of a learning curve with my SoCal temperatures and craptacular soil. Not gonna lie, the disappointment was crushing at first my my tomatoes tasted bitter and gross. But I quickly realized that Holy cow I have more seeds and more time and more EXPERIENCE so I can fix what I did wrong. I am grateful 🙏 Jill, my heart loves your soul and your family and your messages. Thank God you chose to be here for us 🙌

❤I’m using your sourdough course recipes right now to prep dough for baking tomorrow morning so that I have fresh breads for my family, birthday presents for coworkers/relatives and freezing for summer 2025 eating when I don’t want to turn on the oven. My children were blessed to have me as a stay home mom for 9.5 years before I took a part time job to help pay for activities we did as a family. Now in their 20’s I’m smiling when I hear my children say they love certain recipes I cooked for them growing up, love how they take friends into my gardens or into he coup to collect eggs showing them childhood chores and 😂when they teach others something I taught them (especially my teacher daughter). Enjoy the time with your babies and remember to teach them your skills for their future to be brilliant!😊

This was a wonderful and encouraging message! An excellent perspective. As a homemaker for 21 years, It hurts my heart that more moms don’t choose to do this because they think they can’t afford it or can’t be at home so much or work with their husband all day. They don’t know the abundance they are missing out on. I really am grateful for your channel and learning homesteading from you and i have to say thank you so much for the sandwich bread recipe. I have one son who was still requesting store-bought until this recipe! Hallelujah!

Hey Y'all, Great topic today very inspiring to give others something to think about. So many folks are just too busy to get it all done but with a bit of direction they can change the path to where they get more done in less time. I do always like y'alls videos because they are always positive and encouraging. Giving people the tools to plan and organize. I used to need a hammer and go look for one and find a screwdriver to do this other thing. Then I would see some plants that need water and the yard waste bin of non recyclable items needs to go to the curb. Now The original reason I needed the hammer was long gone. Then I go back to where I started and thought I am going to hang this picture but omg I still need a hammer and off you go where you stop no one knows. God bless y'all, Steven

You should check into upgrading your freeze dryer from 4 trays to 5 trays like so many of the other homesteaders have done on their KZbin channels. I think you should contact Harvest Right and check into this because I do believe there is no charge for this upgrade.

When my children were small, I was able to stay home. I had a neighbor's daughter come to my door one day to announce that her mother no longer wanted me to make homemade birthday cakes because her children were asking her to no longer serve store-bought cakes. Enough said! Homemaking has more meaning and more layers than we could ever discuss.

Being a homemaker is the highest calling we can have. It is God's design. But, yes, we can sure get tired from all that we do. We have a small farm and I homeschool. I find that if I take a lot of breaks through out the day, I can get a lot more done. My breaks are not very long, but I find that it helps me so much. God bless you and your family dear....Sherri-Idaho

Great video Jill! I feel so blessed to be a wife and mother. Our kids tell us how their friends thinks it's weird that they like us and we like them. Their friends tell them how they haven't seen their parents in years. I cannot imagine not seeing my children. Our little family is very close just the way God planned it. You are making wonderful memories for your family.
