Magnite is definitely a car that is for Indian market. It provides everything that a customer needs. The facelift that is. Good Interiors, features, better tuned turbo engine(not NA), CVT gearbox, spacious cabin. Even Sonet and venue doesn't have the backseat space that magnite does. It combines everything good with Brezza with that of Sonet/Venue while providing good VFM. So I don't get this opinion about Nissan not understanding Indian market. The problem with magnite is that too many fanboys from Maruti, tata and mahindra are lying about the facelift not changing anything. They want their favorite companies to not have any competition and they don't understand they are the ones who lose if that happens. Citroen is the only car company that doesn't try to understand Indian market.

@Universal_Bro Yes, but I'm talking about foreign brands such as Renault, Nissan, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep and many more, especially American brands.
@india_travelgram_18 күн бұрын
The reason is Indian Automobile regulations are still centuries old. India is the only segment where cars with length lesser than 4000m and 4300m is taxed differently. This makes Indian Automobile market a unique market. So no new cars in this segment. Only Maruti can get benefits in small car segments because they were the one who started this segment. Only if Indian Govt can reduce taxes or update the rules, we consumers and car makers will struggle. Remember, for car like Creta, govt earns more than car makers+dealers just by sitting on the chair. And who pays the govt? We, the consumers. It’s like an open market loot man. BYD cars are half the price in China compared to what we pay.

Nissan first needs to improve its cvt architecture and reliability, you did speak about this in an older video. Honda can bring that change in nissan vehicles. But as you noted that can happen only in bigger vehicles and they will have to kill the smaller sedans like altima and maxima (usa versions) to keep the Honda edge with civic and accord in demand.
