Worlds that were abandoned by the Republic looked to the Jedi for protection against the sith and they even offered them the leadership. In other words, Jedi like Hoth were leaders of planets and sectors.

I can totally imagine Revan, Meetra, Hoth and Anakin just lunched over a bar in the Netherealm of the Force, nursing drinks and being completely done with the Jedi Council's nonsense against the people who saved the galaxy's arse. Just take a look at Arden Lyn and Xendor's story, and you get a microcosm of why the hell the Jedi always create their worst enemies. From Xendor to Ajunta Pall to Freedon Nadd onwards, they simply can't leave well enough alone or learn an ounce of self-awareness and humility. They always end up radicalizing their more unorthodox members till they turn hostile, or train assholes like Exar Kun.

General Hoth was a beast. He knew that if he did not destroy Kaan on Ruusan then all was lost. Hoth almost gave in to his emotions but the ability to reel that in makes him legendary. The fact that 100 jedi volunteered to go into the caves with Hoth to confront Kaan, speaks volumes about the amount of respect he commanded. Great video bruddah keep it up

There was a Legends Sith about 4 Sith into the Rule of 2, he was Darth Cognis' apprentice but I can't recall his name rn, he was one of the last named Sith in Legends that started the rule of 2 Era of the Sith. He tried to meld the extremes of the Dark Side and the Light Side and went crazy in the attempt, he managed to inform the Jedi about the Rule of 2 before Darth Cognis killed him. It wasn't confirmed until about 500 years later when Yoda fought a Sith on Dagobah that completely brought their existence back to the awareness of the Jedi. That's actually how Yoda knew about the Dark Side Nexus on the planet as well he technically created it by killing that Sith there.

The Jedi discovered that Darth Bane survived ten years after Ruusan and set out to kill him, and to make a long story short, Bane's apprentice, Zannah, drove a guy insane, gave him a lightsaber, and set him up to be mistaken for Bane and killed. The Jedi apparently recovered some of Bane's writings from the camp, thus learning of the Rule of Two, but they believed they had killed Bane and ended the threat prematurely, which, of course, they hadn't.

Basically, Lord Hoth is what would happen if Revan stayed on the Light Side, but kept his brutal rationalism and tenacity in war, and he stuck to the Republic until the end. Quite a figure. I can just imagine the Jedi Lords like Hoth ruling the Galactic Empire as the ideal state for Star Wars. Democracy has never worked for them (LOL the best worlds in the Republic were planets like Naboo and Alderaan which were monarchies) but the Jedi Lords seemed to have done well for their people and ruled with justice and reason. Imagine them running the Galactic Empire; the Empire would've lasted thousands of years.

That Jedi sure did loads better than the real life German general who served in the infamous Eastern front of the Second World War. And if anyone asks, no, the planet wasn't named after the former in-universe (as shown later in the vid), though it may have been so for the latter in real life. Hoth is certainly the most bas ass and tactically astute military commander, that the jedi order have ever produced since the days of revan and is single handily responsible for ending the new sith wars, in forcing the Sith to exhaust their military resources on the worthless strategic world of Russan in seven battles of attrition against his army of light until they were defeated. Then due to traditional sith infighting wipe themselves out rather than accept their defeat, alongside hoth and 100 other jedi who sacrificed themselves to allow army of light to escape the sith's last destructive role of the dice as they tried to prevent use of the thought bomb.

If you are going to make these videos , you should at least try learning a little Star Wars history . Lord Hoth did NOT win the battle of Russan , Bane did . Bane was the architect behind the thought bomb , and the trap that brought the jedi and Sith together . Hoth was a egotistical fool that walked not only himself , but his army to their deaths .
