I don't think think this is very well known but "cheap" products are not really cheap. We actually pay for them through taxes because gmo farmers are paid by the government to farm these products. While organic farms are not given any money by the government. So when you actually take into consideration the money spent by us to create "cheap" products, they're actually more expensive than the organic products.

Doctor. Organic farming can only take you so far - until you're hit with disease. Good luck trying to prevent or cure viral or bacterial infections with organic produce. if you think we can avoid modern medicine and stick to "organic" and "natural" alternatives, then I welcome you to do some research on the bubonic plague. Everybody was eating organic produce, breathing fresh (unpolluted) air and drinking clean, "toxin"-free water, yet people died by the masses from a small virus. I think I will stick to modern medicine. The organic industry wants to instill fear into consumers so that they pay more. Such a shame.

If you use natural products, you won't ever get those diseases. Plus there are other options to health care such as homeopathy, acupuncture, and much more. Doctors are a trap, one that you have obviously fallen into.

Hello Alba, My name is Michelle Boch and I am from LA. Since i began my journey on going natural in order to get my curls back, i found myself desperately looking for answers and spending tons of money on products simply because i saw other curly heads using them, but I didn't realize the damage those specific products were doing to my hair because of their harsh chemicals! I thought would never get my curls back, but then i found your amazing account, and god has that made all the difference. I've learned so much about my curls through you and that going organic is far more meaningful and makes all the difference than it just being a "trend". This give away is important to me because at times when i run out of my shea moisture supplies, i find myself having to choose between which one i need most in order to save money. This video helped me understand that i don't need every single product that you feature on here and that organic products are pricier because they offer WAY better ingredients that are amazing for keeping your hair healthy. Wether or not i win, thank you for being a great example on how beautiful curly hair is! I'm still learning to love m own. - ig:@mysticmichy

You shouldn't use coconut oil to remove makeup or as a face moisturizer because it is not non-comedogenic, which means it will clog your pores and increase sebum production which can both lead to acne and blackheads.

I am from the Dominican Republic and live in NYC. Winning this would be important to me because not only I'm I learning and working on a healthier lifestyle, I am also raising two children in this journey as well. I think it's hard for kids to understand the value of what they consume when things like toys are promoted with fast food, even how much they can give back by 1) being confident in their natural state 2) helping others in any way possible. Your videos along with this one are extremely helpful. Thanks to you, I'm able to play your videos to my children and around the house like a regular tv show. You've helped my daughter embrace her curls and last November she donated 16" inches of hair and is growing it back out with your 6 month challenge to donate again. Your son and your commitment to him helps us (my daughter and I) with our son who Is also on the spectrum and also naturally curly :) with this video I learned that a little can go a long way.

I'm a Dominican from Delaware This Giveaway is important to me bc I'm fifteen and I don't have that money to get those amazing products and so it's hard being very passionate about organic beauty products and the science behind them w/o trying them honestly, I love biology and hope to be in the field of chemistry also bc I think it's so interesting. And I've been realizing I have a appreciation for the amazing products of God and the brands that appreciate them too. - I learned that yes you (Alba) are right nobody needs all the organic products alls you have to do is, for the most part is get what makes the product effective, the base of it like shea butter or coconut oil ... :))) and also I love how you know a lot bc you taught me a lot.

Hi my children are half Dominican and we lived in Delaware. I found that's it's easier out there to go organic because of so many farms. You should check out eatwild.com to find gmo free farms. I found buying meat there is actually cheaper than stores. If you also check out J and J Goodhart produce at the New Castle Flea market they have quarts of juice that you can buy under 7 dollars. As far as skin care and stuff I buy online but Delaware doesn't have sales tax so that is a plus. There are African grocery stores in Newark where you can buy pure shea butter and melt it into whatever you want once you get home and it's like 5 bucks. Good luck on your search!

i SWEAR by ACV. It's a natural skin balancer and my toddler had crazy eczema. I started giving him water baths with acv and its a miracle worker. I've used it on my eczema spots and its gotten rid of them. Also having eczema means your gut/gut flora needs to be loved so kill the meat and dairy. We cut out a lot of it and mostly began now - HUGE difference, no flare ups or anything. love it!

Hi Alba! Im from San Diego California. I started watching you in 2012 at the beginning of my hair journey and have been subscribed ever since. This video is soooo fricken helpful because even though i knew organic was better, your tips helped me see why. I actually currently use apple cider vinegar as a toner ever since you mentioned it in a video you had a long time ago. It has helped my skin tremendously. But this is important to me because i have made some major changes in my life recently when it comes to health, ive been exercising and eating clean. And i feel like using organic beauty products along with eating healthy would be the next step. I am definitely a girl who likes to save (college brah) and this video pretty much convinced me that the organic stuff is worth the extra money. I admire you so much and it has been so great seeing you grow not just as a youtuber and business woman, but as a mother and wife. truly inspirational

I don't remember writing a comment to anyone else, however, i must say that what is special about you is that you are so natural and you are not like the other makeup artists/youtubers who exaggerate what they do to themselves and look ugly as a result, and to note you look much better without makeup and i applause the fact that you keep your life choices as healthy and natural as possible and your videos are so great, amusing and short to the fact that i never skip them like I do other videos! Keep at it

I really don't give Castile soap the love it truly deserves, I think that was the greatest tip, because it's important to use Castile soap for cleaning your home, skin care, even gently cleaning vegetables. So Castile soap deserves some love. I don't feel I deserve to win, I think someone who is new to holistic life should win. So it can change there life, and start them on a good path. I already live a very holistic life. I have coconut oil, Aloe Vera juice and vegetable glycerine on my face before bed, prior to having activated charcoal on my face, as I type. My mission in life is to spread the word, and save lives in a way. Too much people are getting sick from chemicals, GMO's and chronic illnesses mostly due it inflammation, yes I'm a health coach. I hope who ever watched this video got major inspiration, and readjusts there lifestyle, even a bit, to be more holistic. Love your videos, all the best! Elizabeth

I've been using these kind of products for so many years (before KZbin was really relevant) and people still think I'm kinda crazy. People also find it "different" that aside from antihistamine, I keep absolutely no type of medication, pain relievers, or even toothpaste or commercial cleansers in my home. It takes effort to learn new practices, but it's worth it. Don't get me wrong, I don't live a totally organic life, but I definitely try to implement those practices. Like recycling water, using reusable containers to avoid using plastic or just making sure I turn off the light when I'm not in a room. I've been interested in some other forms of "natural" that I haven't quite taken the plunge into but am researching and thinking about, so I appreciate these kinds of videos. Thanks for sharing! By the way your husband was really funny in this video.

hey this video was soo helpful alba! I'm from rancho cucamonga, CA and being a single mom of my beautiful also curly headed daughter it's soo important for me to try and find products that are natural and organic and will work for her hair as well as on mine. I used to hate my curly hair because I didn't know how to manage it really i used a lot of products that I thought would work but we're heavily alcohol based and ended up doing more damage to my hair then helping in any way. since I had my daughter i was really committed to becoming more organic and finding products for hair and skin that would benefit both myself and most especially my daughter. since I subscribed to your channel soo many months ago I have learned soo much it was your channel that introduced me to shea moisture products and really got me to embrace my curly hair and have worked wonderfully for my daughter's hair especially their kids product line. this video was soo helpful and reassuring to me because iw am a coconut oil lover and advocate and lately have been really looking into other natural uses and recently bought apple cider vinegar and was considering buying dr. bronners soap after hearing you and others talk so highly of it but wasnt sure but hearing you talk about it again is definitely conformation for me. I would really love and appreciate to win the giveaway for some of your favorite products. it would be great to have access to your hand picked products especially since your suggestions have worked so greatly for me and my daughters hair. But if I don't win yhe giveaway thank you anyways for helping me to love my curly hair once again so that I can be an example for my daughter to love how GOD has made her and embrace who she is curly hair and all! instagram: queenbrib1 snapchat: queenbrib1 facebook: brianna bushnell

Hi there!:) I'm Denise and I am from Czech Republic!:) I just met this girl in shop few days ago and she had this perfect curly hair, I couldn't help myself and asked what she does with all the frizz, I was still looking for something easier, where only few products are enough and not those long routines that do not even help. She just said Organic, gave me name of the product and your KZbin! Now I am slowly learning what I should do for my hair so it's healthier, longer, without frizz and after watching you videos I found so good tips even for skin!:) thank you so much!! Anyway as you said if we want to spare some money, there can be just one product that fits us perfectly, but since I am just about to start with organic it would come in handy to try couple of them and figure out which one really does help. I know you'll send the best ones. Finally thanks to you I feel like I found something that is easy, fast and really helps plus it actually all makes sense.:) Thank you!! Instagram: @dmifkova

Hello Alba, my name is Hailey and I live across the pond in the UK :) Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your videos - I used to straighten my hair ALL THE TIME until January this year when I quit FOR GOOD! I decided that I wanted to embrace my natural hair but I didn't really know what to do with it until I saw your channel. Before this I hadn't done any research, always wanted to buy the cheapest brand possible, and wanted a quick fix! What I've learnt from you is that I need to try lots of different things, try different techniques and that cheap does NOT necessarily mean good! You've helped me discover what my hair needs, what works for me (and what doesn't!), AND how I can do it using natural products (win-win!). Winning the prize would be useful as I still feel I'm only at the beginning of my "no heat journey", and I'm still discovering so I'd love to try those products :) In my opinion, there isn't much advice in the UK on how to be a curly girl, and the products are so damn hard to find here too (so this prize would be awesome) - your channel really has been useful to me. Keep the videos coming! Find me at @HPottinger on twitter! :)

KFC , Mc donalds etc are widely popular in India as well. Also, the air quality in India is so bad that people's lungs are getting badly affected. You can literally google the air quality Index in India it's on a dangerous level. People in US drink tap water whereas in India if you drink that you'll end up in the hospital.

I am from Spain, first of all!. My mum was diagnose with a rare deseases and she gets reactions from everything so I am trying to help her by researching about natural products, and so far so good, we are treating her psoriais with coconut oil and tea tree oil as she can not use any of the medical shampoos available. We are also changing our entire diet so she can feel healthier and stronger. It helped a lot to understand that it shouldnt be so difficult or expensive (some times I get overwhelmed), i love all the tips and tricks, specially the idea of buying in bulk and using a product in very different ways as using apple vinegar to treat acne or stomach ache (we are already using it for cleaning and it is wonderful). I also recommend jojoba oil, its a great oil for face, hair and body and rose hip oil, too. Also I am reserching the tea tree oil because I think I can use it to cleaning too! Im fairly new to this world but I think it will change my life and my mum´s in a really wonderful way! (Also check out olive oil (Spain is famous for having the best one) if you want a really hydrating mask for your face)

I'm currently living in Chicago, IL by way of Scottsdale, AZ. Winning this giveaway is important to me because when I moved to Chicago a year ago, I was the girl who could only achieve confidence through long-but not always healthy- curled or straight hair via a flat iron. My natural hair was only something that appeared at the gym or on the couch. Well my job as a flight attendant and new climate is not exactly conducive with a straight hair lifestyle, and I noticed my hair stopped curling naturally. I have since chopped off many of my locks and am 5 months into a year long commitment I made to myself to completely abandon heat products, restore my natural curl pattern and rediscover myself as a confident natural haired woman. I have watched your hair tutorials for years and with your inspiration and lots of patience and effort, I know I can grow a head full of confident beautiful hair. This video helped me realize that some of the products Ive used may be prevented my most natural curls from appearing and causing me harm. And that some of the best and most natural products are already in my kitchen. You can find me on Instagram under MICAELA__JONES...thats a double underscore :) I look forward to the next video! Yes but we only see it as expensive due to the comparison to what's so cheap and affordable therefore if the demand in cheap product is higher it's going to be sold for much less because the less you sell it for the more people will buy, and they more money the company makes... The cycle continues

Hi Alba, since discovering you I've immediately become a fan. I'm from Kingston, Jamaica and have turned to the Internet to learn how to manage my Indian and African mixed curls. Going natural has been something ive attempted to do three times before but i always became frustrated during the transitioning process and gave up. Finally being able to go natural has been such a FREEING experience and one that has lead me to "clean up" other areas of my life and move to more simple and organic products as well as to take a healthier approach to life. Winning this giveaway would help me to access organic products that 1. are MUCH harder to find here in Jamaica, West Indies and 2. when you do actually find them they cost an arm and a leg. I always take away soemthing from your videos but watching this video has opened my eyes to other uses of Apple Cider Vinegar, specifically how it can be used as an organic toner. THANK YOU so much for being such an inspiration and for being such an informative source. Even my family and friends benefit because i always share what I've learned from you. One of my favourite tips was when u shared that you get your son to eat his vegetables by coating them with something he loves (i believe in the video he was eating cauliflower with cinnamon if i remeber correctly). Hey Alba I can't wait until the day you come out with your own affordable organic line! This video helped understand that you only really need a few key organic products to start a more clean and toxic free life. I use Shea Moisture on my hair but I really want to incorporate a more organic lifestyle to my daily living. Winning your SunKissAlba box would be important to me because it would get me a foot on the door with all the purchase of all these key products, (though idk what's in the box lol) your Puertorican follower from Nashville, TN IG name: eerika_perezz

@Mrs.AlbaRamos8 жыл бұрын
Veganism is not for everyone Hun, it cannot be suggested as if it's a "one size fits all" it's a very personal choice that requires belief, experience and understanding just like everything else. That's why I don't focus on the labels of vegan, vegetarian or carnivores. I focus on reducing toxicity level from man-made chemicals that can be harmful to us and contribute to sickness.

Chanah-Danae James Well, all protein originally comes from the soil (from nitrates). Protein is a marketing scheme to promote certain types of food industries. Plants absorb nutrients from the soil and animals get their protein from plants. For example spinach is 49% protein whilst eggs are just 12% protein. Very few people do suffer from protein deficency because it is in almost every food we consume :); yet, most of the health problems in the world are from people trying to consume TOO much protein. The films What the Health and Cowspiracy explain everything perfectly. I hope you give them a try! I am not going to say what lifestyle I follow, I am going to let you see what you think yourself! Enjoy :D Have a nice day! 😀

I'm Puerto Rican, from Ohio :)I used to blow dry my hair 2 x weekly and yeah it looked cute and all but I knew it wasn't healthy. I was looking for answers on why my hair wasn't (for me) normal. The first video I saw was one of your videos. I am grateful because you made me realize that blow drying my hair and keratin tx was not the answer. At first I was like, How on earth will I manage my hair if the only thing I know to do on it is blow dry it and then I style it from there. But I did it I hide my blow dryer and flat iron lol and never used it. YES at first I did't feel sexy lol but every time I would see your videos It some how gave me the courage lol to not look back to my blow dryer. It has been almost 2 yrs since I started to transition my hair from straight to curly and I love it. Thank you Thank You Thank You. You helped me embrace my curls :) Wining this giveaway is important to me because I am currently going to school to become a Medical Assistant. I will be done in 8 weeks (yaay). I must admit Its been hard for me to take proper care of my hair because I barely have time for me, my school is 50min away so I have to save all the money I can for gas. Sometimes I don't even have shampoo lol seriously I just use some apple cider vinegar or baking soda to help clean my hair a little. It will be very important for me basically because I am craving to try new things but don't have enough money. I have learned a lot from your videos. This one specifically had helped me realize that I shouldn't get all desperate when thinking of things I should buy, because with only the essentials we can go a long way and use them in different ways. Another thing not to believe in everything that says natural or organic. Thank you so much for giving out your tips and in someway caring for us :) Thanks!

Hi, I'm from Massachusetts. I recently started my natural hair journey and that is why winning this is important to me. I have been using coconut oil for about 2 months now and see some improvement to my heat damage. My biggest challenge is that the top layers of my hair have the most damage so as you stated in one of your videos, I will need to be patient in progress. I have tried many stylers and moisturizes but none of them seem to hit the mark so I'll need to continue to learn more. This video has helped with the suggestion to try the egg mask that you described as well as a good cleanser. Thanks for all you do, in my short time on this journey I have learned a lot from your videos.

Hey Alba, I'm from California, winning this is important to me because I recently transitioned 2 years ago still transitioning and my hair love she's moisture products and still flat ironing my hair I suffer from heat damage time to time. And not really having a clue what I'm doing lol. And watching your video is very inspiring and taught me how to save money and know the difference between needs and wants. I will not give up and give pure organic products a shot.

Very informative video. Thank you for sharing. One of the beauty products that you forgot to mention that people can make on their own is a body scrub. I have seen your videos about that and I love making those with coconut oil and organic sugar. i wish you well and look forward to your product line when you get it going. I'm sure it's going to be fantastic. I am a Dr. Bronner's user as well and so are my kids. I love the peppermint, tea tree, lavender and aloe soaps. I have read the bottle (while sitting on the toilet, LOL!!!) but never thought about diluting the product. I just use small amounts. I guess I will start diluting them though because my little one is quite heavy handed when she uses the soaps. I have recently (but not bought or used) the Braggs apple cider vinegar but will be trying it soon. I absolutely agree with you when you spoke about the Shea Moisture products. I am a Shea Moisture fan and have my specific staple that I use the most that works for my hair. Keep up the beautiful work Alba and I must say that you have a beautiful family. Manny, keep you day job (ba da bum, LOL!!!!). I wish the 2 winners luck in your giveaway.

Hey Alba. I am a huge fan of your videos! I am from Ohio so your videos about winter hair and skin care are immensely helpful (so thanks)! Winning this giveaway would help me out so much because I have been trying to maintain an organic life and be conscious of what I am putting into my body but it definitely does get expensive with all the different kinds of products out there when just trying to find what works best for my hair, body, and skin. I began following your videos years ago for a few reasons but mainly because back then I was hard pressed to find someone with a similar texture and density as mine until I found one of your straightening videos (SUPER throwback lol). After using your different methods and incorporating different natural products, I have seen an amazing improvement in my hair. It is now so much shinier and all of my heat damage is gone even though I still use heat (diffuser) occasionally. I did not know that Dr. Broners was so multifunctional life hack and that Apple Cider Vinegar could be used as a toner (which I can't wait to use but I am scared of the smell) lol. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge for us "Frugal Felicia's" that want to continue a natural and organic lifestyle without breaking the bank. You're the best! P.S. This video was AMAZE-BALLS! Thank you for being selfless and honest. I like the part when you mentioned that you (and other bloggers/vloggers, of course) are part of the reason why most of us viewers, WANT everything we see you guys use on your videos. Your video set it straight that we can be healthy inside and out, by eliminating the WANT factor and focusing on the NEED. I know I NEED extra cash in my pocket and I NEED and WANT to be healthy, inside and out, therefore I NEED to and plan on using these tips from your video!! Thank you again!

Winning these products would be essential to me because I've always found organic and more natural products better, since they can each do more than one job. Coconut oil itself is an excellent shaving cream as well, I have thick stubborn body hair and I had the closest/smoothest shave ever with it. To prevent your razor from getting clogged just dip it in hot soapy water in between swipes.

I remember when I was younger hating my hair and wishing I had thin straight hair. Now because of you and a few other people who helped me, I love my think curly hair. Wining this contest is very important to me because it will show the progress I have succeeded these past few years. I learned to love and care for my hair. This video gave me more of a better understanding that not only should I take care of my hair but my body as well. Hey Alba! I'm Maria from Upstate New York and let me just say that I'm glad I found your channel about two years ago because I love your channel so much!! Como decimos mi generation~ you are goals!! But its nice to find someone, I'd consider pretty famous to look up to who I really admire. Please never change and stay you because it's hard these days to find genuine, sincere famous people to look up to and people who i spire to be-(minus mi madre y madrina de confirmacion). But I really hope you choose me not for any of those reasons that I mentioned above. But because those products I believe my family and I would benefit from so much, you have no idea. They are a little pricey and money is a bit tight at home. Things are happening pero con dios adelante my family is trying to get through it all. Also not to mention with all the health problems running in my family tree these products could definitely help. Educating my big family has been a bit of a challenge, but me as well as my brothers and younger generation cousins are doing our best to educate the older folks. Especially with some of my tia's being so old fashion and being so skeptic about change. This video has given me extra confirmation on some products I have been researching- like coconut and apple cider , so thank you for that too. Also I'll definetly watch out for those products that claim to be "natural". I tend to get a bit excited when I see the words "natural" on a cheaply priced product, so thanks for the tip!! thanks again, much love XoXo instagram: MariaaFabiann facebook: Maria Fabian

Hey Alba! I am from the Dominican Republic currently living in NYC. This video helped me so much because my feet smell like Apple Cider Vinegar too ;) Winning this give away is important to me because I started transitioning 3 years ago, and have become such a product junkie that I am now able to cut back and focus on what I really need (It's been the hardest 4 months of not buying a ton of hair products at a time). Anyway, it's now time to actually restock on the necessities and I would love to be able to try the products you've been raving about because you are such an inspiration! This video helped me understand a lot about pricing, but more importantly this is a great go to for my 2 cousins who just started transitioning as well and I always try to help them not become the product junkie I was by getting them to go for the products that serve more purposes like ACV and coconut oil, like you mentioned in this video. Shared this to them and hopefully they get it too! FYI, 2 brands you usually recommend (EO and Dr. Bronners) are usually available in most TjMaxx and Marshalls (at least in the NYC area) for a fraction of the price! I end up buying the 32oz bottle of conditioner for $10 and the 32oz Dr.Bronners for $10 as well. Something you might want to share with your other subscribers who are looking to save money! I'm from Baltimore, MD, but living in the SF Bay Area. The idea of this giveaway is incredible to me. My goal as I progress in my career is to make eco products more accessible, especially to women of color, and your channel/this giveaway is right in line with that. Personally, I'm working to expand my highly... uh... edited beauty arsenal, despite my tight budget (Bay Area is cray-expensive!!), so I can authentically share my experiences with the products. I'm happy to be the tester for people who are toying with the idea of cleaning their beauty routine, but aren't ready to do product trial runs for themselves. The video actually helped me re-think the rationale behind the price points on natural and organic products. While I am a diehard proponent of green living, I do cringe when picking up my favorite clean products. Having the price point rationale in the back of my head - I think - will help make the purchase a little less painful! Thanks for the vid, the contest opportunity, and the great info! While I have love for all beauty bloggers/vloggers, it's so refreshing to see women of color representing a clean and green lifestyle! xoxo!! Instagram:@klashe Twitter:@Avi_Beauty

I'm so happy I clicked on this video because I have recently decided to start this new healthy eating journey by transitioning from processed to organic food. I've been raving to all my family on how important it is to change our bad eating habits. I've been started using natural hair products since I've been natural for the last 4yrs but never started eating organic but I would love to try some of your healthy products. I just wanted to thank you for your advice... my daughter is biracial and had recently started asking me why God gave her curly hair instead of beautiful straight hair like mommy... her curls are very beautiful but I tended to put her hair up because it was often very dry and would lose alot of its curl pattern when it dried... I made it my goal in life for her to see how beautiful she is and how amazing her curly hair can be... I started watching your channel and have really been able to transform her hair into the glorious mass of curls it was meant to be... she started kindergarten today with a twist out that she loves.... her hair is shiny and beautiful just like her and I appreciate all the videos and advise you gave that made that possible.... God makes us all different but no less beautiful and my daughter if finally seeing herself the way I do.... thank you

Hi Alba! I'm from Chicago...and I'm an artist. I do graffiti. As a "Tomboy", I'm always hanging out with the boys and painting. When I come home, I love to pamper myself with a good body scrub & bath, etc... but I can't always afford to purchase the "holy grail" of natural beauty products, such as Manuka Honey. So I learned how to budget my money to supply for my art as well as my health needs. Winning this giveaway would be awesome because it would boost my beauty closet! I am going to try 2 things from your video today. These things will help my skin and hair stay super moisturized as I head into another chilly Chicago winter. 1) the shaving cream mixed with Dr. Bronners and coconut oil and 2) the recipe for a new hair mask. Thanks for breaking down what "natural" and "organic", versus cheap and expensive means to you. I learned to question why and how food is priced. I agree with your statement, and I will continue to support and be a fan because you are true to your cause and passion for beauty inside and out. Thank you! Another topic to consider is the difference between products that say organic vs. natural. Organic requires more stringent USDA regulation, while "natural" doesn't have that kind of regulation. You definitely touched a bit on it in the video too!

Oh my gosh. As I watched this I prayed you would bring up shea moisture!! I LOVE that stuff!! I just bought it like 3 weeks ago and I don't think ill ever go back to something else. With having A LOT of fine curly/wavy hair, it gets suuuper frizzy and I never found a natural product I liked as much as this. Although I have dr bronners and used it for my hair, I needed something moisturizing! The shea moisture is now my go-to. Thanks for posting, youre gorgeous by the way! subbed.
