I cut off all of my hair in May to start my healthy hair journey from scratch and every single time I feel discouraged and I feel like I want to just keep cutting it, I watch one of your videos. You're such an inspiration to me and have been from the very beginning! Thank you for continuing to push and advocate healthy, inner beauty! Because of you, I continue to keep my beauty stash 100% natural, eat as clean as possible and look for natural remedies for pretty much everything. You're the epitome of beauty - internally and externally! It's been two years since I met you at your first NYC meet and greet and I still love you just the same :D -Cheyanne

I just wanted to tell you thank you so much! Over a year ago, I had really damaged hair that wouldn't even curl anymore. I decided I didn't want that and went looking for videos on how to change it. Then I found your channel and fell in love with your hair and your methods. I gave up heat and started taking better care of my hair. I'm now at the 1 1/2 year mark on my hair journey and just yesterday I cut off all remaining straight ends of my hair. Even though my hair is at my shoulders right now (similar to how yours was), it's honestly the healthiest it's ever been! I could not have gone on this hair journey without your videos, so thank you so much and keep inspiring people! ❤️

Gosh, I literally comment on every video saying how gorgeous you look but you literally just glow through that camera ! Back when you started your hair journey I started mine as well, You've helped my hair grow to my tailbone length by following all your tips and being super patient. I now love my curly hair and although it's a lot of maintenance and a hell of a lot of conditioners that I use lol, I wouldn't trade it. I've also helped so many people with their curly hair because they feel so discouraged by it because it won't grow. You are 100% correct, healthy hair= long hair. You can't expect it to grow my heat styling, neglecting it and feeding your body crap foods

All your tips and suggestions have worked so amazingly on my hair & Im so thankful! I've seen instant results in the health of my hair and Ill never stop using these methods! I was honestly so surprised how well co-washing worked on my hair (which is thin & wavy/curly but not tight curls), my hair is usually so dry and unmanageable since previously using heat on my hair for about 6 years non stop and when I cut out the heat my hair freaked out, but co-washing and other things you have suggested have brought the life back into my hair! About 6 months ago I cut my hair because it was so terribly dead at the bottoms and in the beginning it wouldn't grow at all and I lost all hope until I came across your videos! I'm extremely passionate about using all natural products so it was really hard to find hair care that was natural and that actually works! Thank you so much, I'm so grateful for your kindness & sharing, thank you for inspiring me! I look forward to seeing how my hair journey goes & yours too! Booty length hair here we come ;)

I just want to thank you for teaching me how to take care of my curls over the years. I never knew what to do and my hair always broke off. Every since finding your channel and Shamless Maya's channel my hair has been so healthy and growing so much. You're amazing
@ile29289 жыл бұрын
My hair has a very high porosity, I tried using all natural products, only washed my hair once a week, took vitamins and nothing worked. My hair always broke and was so dry and fragile. It wasn't until I started to manage my ph level that my hair got healthier and stronger. Now I have managed to close my cuticle properly and lock all the moisture and protein that my hair lacked. Not all natural products have a balanced ph level, however you can adjust it by adding lime juice or apple cider vinegar.
@miamayamo9 жыл бұрын
Where did you find out how to manage your hair's ph level?
@ile29289 жыл бұрын
The ideal ph level for your hair should be from 4.5 to 5.5. Some products say the amount of ph they contain, however that rarely happens, so you can order ph strips on Amazon and find out for yourself :) you should look up why managing your ph level and amount of protein is very very important, it's waaaay to much info for me to explain lol but if you don't want to throw away the products you are using right now you can always adjust them :) also aloe is great to balance out ph.

You made a great point, Alba. Chlorine and Chloramines (found in virtually all city water in America, to my knowledge) are not only potentially harmful to our hair, but also to our skin. They can be very irritating and drying. A shower filter can help, however a whole-house filter is a better option as it removes more contaminants. You hair is looking gorgeous, btw ♥

I have been following your long hair challenge for the past 3 months, and started my own. I'm working on making sure I'm healthy internally too. About 4 weeks ago yesterday, I had to get a trim, but I'm back on track. I do scalp massages with coconut oil before cleansing my hair. I usually use a cleansing conditioner for my hair every week, and use SheaMoisture JBCO Shampoo & Conditioner when I need a deep cleanse. I use the LCO method since the LOC method didn't work for me.

I had long curly thick hair but due to heat and styling it was so damaged . I did the big chop It´s been two years not using heat nor chemicals in my hair.My hair is 99% of the time braided. Unless when Im washing it.The less stress minimal products. A clean scalp is the KEY! Your hair will grow. My hair is now waist length. But i want it longer. I use a lace wig to protect my own hair and allow it to grow without me messing with it. I think this is the way you can grow your hair. I wash my hair with shampoo once a week and deep condition it twice a week ;=)

I was born with straight hair but when I was in high school, my hair started getting wavy. Now that I am in college, my hair is super wavy/kind of curly. But I do find I have to find that I have to wash my hair everyday because it is very greasy. What can I do in this situation? I feel that washing it everyday is making my curls weigh down. I hardly use heat on my hair, only on special occasions but it is very healthy. Look forward to hearing back from someone, please
@misseydj1239 жыл бұрын
the only way to possibly stop your hair from getting so greasy it to make your scalp get used to not washing your hair everyday. Try to wash your hair every other day, then try every two days, then more if you can. While doing this, when your hair starts to look oily just use a natural dry shampoo to help get rid of any excess oily-ness. I doubt washing your hair every day is weighing down your curls tbh, it's more likely the products you put in your hair (try to stick with light products and products that can spray instead or creams and stuff) and stay away from direct heat when you can. Good luck :)

Still following you on this journey!! I do have a hard time because I do all of what you and my hairdresser recommends but my hair hasn't been growing for the past 2 years! It used to be SO long and I NEVER use heat, I do have a perm but I only get that done like once a year if even! And I have tried so many things. I have found a natural shampoo w the help from my hairdresser that has stopped the shedding. We were hoping that would help the hair grow but not really. Now I have found some scalp stimulating product from natural resources and I have seen a difference in the way that my hair seems thicker! I have only used it a few weeks now so I hope it's gonna help me in the long run :) Love your hair btw wish mine still looked like that :( xx
