I guess I coupon differently. Because I only stock pile things we actually need & use. Soap, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper. But once I have a good amount I just stop. My last stock pile lasted me 8 months.

I think you made some very valid points! I have always couponed, and went to the next level and sort of came to the place you described. I took a break and I donated a bunch of things to relatives and others. It felt great too! Reminded me why I started out couponing- to save $ and help my family and others!

I'm just learning how to coupon. 2 weeks ago. We're a DINK household. Full time middle-class middle-aged working couple. I do it to save $$$. I only pick& choose the items we NEED like paper towels, garbage bag liners, etc.I don't clean out the store either.. 😃🌼😃🤣 I'm tickled with this technique. I do BELIEVE in 'play money' now. Of course if you don't do it in moderation, you'll get ADDICTED. Happy couponing everybody!

To all you ladies and women out there that are trying to give up on couponing because you don't need your stuff getting too large of stockpile don't give up let's not forget about those ones out there in need start donating make gift baskets give to charity come on ladys we can do it .. There's lots of families out there that can use the things that we get such great deals on stop and think for a second why did we want to become couponers why did we want to start a style why can we not give half of our files or deals to charity to families in need families that can't afford what we're getting for next to nothing we gotta love America.....

If couponing is starting to interfere with other aspects of your life to the point that it's becoming an addiction, then it's time to stop. If you don't need it, don't have the room for it, then don't get it. Don't use the excuse of "stock piling to help others" as a way to feed your continuous need for couponing.

I coupon to SAVE money . I SAVE a lot of money , also having an ' extended pantry' with supplies is very important in this 'day and age' . We have had to depend on our stock pile - (extended pantry) way too many times , NOT to have it . It is our 'insurance' just as health , life , car insurance is . I go one time a week for my shopping deals ,that are well planned . I feel as though you took on to much sweetie , that wasn't necessary. GOD BLESS .

I value your reasonable approach in regards to using coupons. Since I consider you a pro at using coupons, I am encouraged by your judicious and modest declination regarding the use of them . Similar to how you used to do, I tend to go to the store daily because I have a coupon. I have recently decided to try to use one day out of the month to purchase all of my household items and only use my coupons at that time only. I realize that it will be hard, but in the long run, I will not be at the store every day buying something because I have a coupon. Lastly I love that you continue to educate viewers on couponing by giving them a break down of the stores with good deals for the week, thanks for that and I will keep the tips you offer in mind.

Thank you for this video, I have been using coupons since my son was born 25 years ago, but have never been interested in extreme couponing. It is uncommon for me to get coupons for my most common purchases and I don't want to switch or buy things that I know will not be used. Add to these things the cost of newspapers that rarely have coupons I can use and it is just not worth it. I use a couple of free digital coupon apps and they work for me.

welcome back! I stayed subscribed to your channel. I understand how you feel towards the expense of couponing and the time it takes to organize and plan shopping trips. these pharmacies have become strict on coupons and sometimes I just say forget it and not even worry about a sale. a lot of the old school couponers have gone from KZbin to do other things. at this point, companies are checking blogs and catching on to the deals. they watch videos and see how ppl are working these deals and then we see a decrease in coupon values, shorter expiration dates and limits on like items in a transaction. even with my two newspapers a week, I have a nice stockpile. I mainly grocery shop and follow my weekly grocery ads. thanks to the extreme couponing show, couponing won't be the same. I've been couponing since 2010. I started before I went to college and racked up on personal care items. once in college I stopped couponing but started back in 2014 but now I have limits. I'm not buying shampoo and conditioner every week even if it's free, in my area free or not, tax must be paid. tax is money. if I become repetitive in my shopping, I'm not saving if I'm buying the same stuff every week. congrats on your addition to your family. can't wait to see your plans for your channel.

i think its knowing when to buy certain items and learning what the best price point is. i will always coupon bc it is a huge money saver no matter what other expenses you add in to get the coupons and the products. as far as competition.. screw the people that feel like they have something to prove... im gonna be over here supplying my family and friends with all this great stuff. :) we dont live in a double couponing state but we do live in a true bogo state so that helps. i dont have the space for stockpile either, but i make it work lol with 3 kids, i have to xD sucks you stopped but personally, the savings is huge and worth it. time spent in the store is worth it, i even do it with my kids and they are learning the value of effort time and money.

Bravo! Congrats on the new addition to the family. I'm new and really want to incorporate couponing as a way of savings,but watching some videos.... I have my mouth open. What do they need with all of that stuff? Enough shampoos to last 5 years of use.-to me, that's not practical. Not really practical to have a mini Walmart unless you have a family of 20. People do whatever that makes them happy, we just have to find our own happy medium and weigh the cost of our time, energy, money, and the real estate of space in our homes. I'm near Kansas City and the papers are $3.00 each here it got to the point where I was spending more on papers then I was saving using coupons and I was always tired on Sunday. From getting up early to go buy papers and then going to the store where I was exhausted and needed a nap after I got home just to recover. I was trying to save money to help pay off some debt but I wasn't using half of the coupons in the paper and I felt like I was going more into debt from just trying to save a couple of dollars. Plus I don't have many stores near me we have a cvs,Walmart and a couple of local grocery stores and that's it the bigger cities that have more stores near me are 20-50 miles away so I would be spending more money on gas then anything else. I'm so glad I saw your video it makes me realize that I'm not the only one that has done this.

I can relate I have changed the way I do things myself over the last few years. We adopted 2 1/2 years ago and our lives changed completely I used to go early on Sunday to coupon at CVS and get my video up but I no longer can do that. MH newspaper prices also went up to $3 each so I now buy just 2 papers each week then date and file the inserts instead of clipping them all. I also mainly just coupon at CVS and publix which I only do videos for CVS but even with only buying 2 papers I still get alot of deals and mostly won't get anything like shampoo, body wash etc unless it's free or pennies on the dollar. Congrats on the new addition. to your family looking forward to your videos.

I am just starting to coupon. I live outside of Dallas and I get my coupons from the Dollar Tree. They have all the coupon inserts in them. They also sell the sunday news papers that whole week, so if you don't get it on sunday, you can still get them. You can also look online to see what coupons are coming out that sunday to see if it is worth buying. But if I am only spending a dollar on each set of inserts, I really only have to use one 1$ coupon to pay off that paper.

She and her minions (because she said she hired people to help her get these 'great coupon deals') are the reason why cashiers and manager staff do not want to deal with any coupons. Sad but true. I will always strive to be Charitable, Congenial, and Respectful to the staff of any store. Especially if they are that way with me. The 'Public' is not easy to deal with. I had a similar situation about a year ago. Now I have restructured my approach. I now coupon primarily at Shoprite, and CVS where my out of pocket is a few cents. I agree that it can become an addiction problem. I wouldn't say stop entirely though. you can control yourself enough to only shop on for example on Sundays only. also, I wouldn't suggest even purchasing the Sunday news paper. I get inserts for free. the neighbors and some places I go to will allow me to have the coupon inserts. if you do it in moderation. it's good

I coupon in spurts. I will be all intensive for 4 months then realize I have enough to last forever. I take a break for a year and a half or so. When I run out it's time to hit it again. It CAN consume you if you are an OCD & addictive personality...but then again I have tried to teach people who are not OCD/addictive and they never make it.

you do not have to buy news papers. paper bins... getting inserts before the store closes on Sunday nights. some store may only ask you to pay only a few cents for inserts. I only get max on 4 of a product. I buy for family members. limit only a few hours a week for couponing. I love seeing vlogs on couponing.

The best place for xmas is this site www.hollar.com/share/3ca382 you can get really awesome cool stuff for super cheap beats any store plus get free shipping and $2 off. I was able to send my little cousin out of state $30 of tons of toys shipped free. Plus they have everyday house stuff as well beats any dollar store and they have coupons. I did it for xmas and my family loved it and are doing it now too so now I have to look for another site for xmas gifts lol

I started January 7th i live in Arlington & since then I was going crazy buying 15+ inserts each week & i just stopped and slowed down this past week we are a family of 3 our son just turned one & i have so many lotions,shampoos,detergents,toothpaste etc...me & my husband were having problems because of my couponing he said i was addicted and so i decided to limit myself to 4 coupons of each inserts & ill only be couponing when RP,SS & P&G come out. At first i was so mad at him but i realized he was right he told me i need to wait till i finish 75% of my stockpile & then go out and get more cause alot of stuff will go to waste.

I definitely agree with your decisions to quit couponing. I have began being more strict about what I purchase. Do I really need this item? Would I purchase this at full price? I have to remind myself that there's a difference between almost free and actually free. It almost never the latter. One has to spend something in order to get a deal and that initially expenditure is what adds up over time.

I kind of thinking to stop doing it for a while until I need something , fortunately I have a friend who sells the coupon books and I can get all of them for one dollar instead of getting them for 2.50 but yea is stressful too... and by the way congratulations for your baby a hard work too .. haha .. lol..

I just started couponing and it kind of sucks because I don't get as good of a deal as other people cause I'm so picky with what I buy. I am all about paper products and household items. These are the more expensive deals. I mean getting toilet paper for $3 is great but it's a bigger out of pocket than maybe .50 shampoo.

Donating is good, OR if you need money, start some kind of eBay store of PashMark store! Maybe like apps are better? Slide apps or "passive" money apps, making money on game apps, surveys, scanning your reciepts and all. I can see where she's coming from. Probably (if you're midwest) Kroger couponing is easier. Or say prescription rewards at CVS and Walgreen's type places, but I think Walgreen's can be rude sometimes. But those points and coupons are easy. You can buy products that add points to your account etc. Go the easy route, ignore competition. Good Luck!

Why do people use the "I was getting too many free items" excuse? Why not pass those savings onto your family and friends or a local church or food bank? If you get your coupons for free, it's not costing you to donate your surplus.
@HowToExtremeCoupon
@HowToExtremeCoupon 7 жыл бұрын
I did that for my family, friends and shelters but not everyone is going to take depends, Epsom salt, etc. It is also costing time to donate and space in our house for storing. I felt I started become wasteful.

Most churches, Nursing homes and assisted living places will accept depends. Epsom salt has MANY uses including soaking feet, using in your bath, gardening, use as a laxative etc...Also can be donated to Churches and community gardens. For most stuff, churches will accept just about anything.

This comment is not at all intended for hate. I was game on for couponing for quite a while. I did it for baby food because that's what I needed at the time. Through job experiences/friends, I learned how negative using loopholes to get 'free' was hurting people. At first I didn't believe this, but the deal with it is is that it costs money to make products. And you think... They only have 40 cents wrapped up in it. True, but they still pay employees. I'm sure you know as well as I do that technology is always on the rise meaning companies switch to machines more than actual employees to save money. The whole point is that everyone's purchases are significant enough to make change. Again, this was not at all intended to be hateful. Just my experiences and opinions. Good luck with you channel, I'll stay a subscriber!
