I think having labels on a bag makes the person look cheap, even if it's authentic. It's more classy to wear bags without huge logos.

This is one of the best reviews of a bag I’ve seen tbh. I’m a HUGE Bottega fan. I love the padded cassette and have one in black. But you’re right about the strap and buckle. It’s great to see a review that’s honest without all the added drama that some KZbin videos add. You’re very down to earth, I loved watching this!

About the lock ... they actually tried with the regular magnetic lock ... and the bag has just opened by herself ... during walking ... when was filled up ... at full capacity. Probably because the bulky belts ... add over-tension in the flap. So, they had to choose this more secure lock.

I ordered the black padded cassette. It arrived full of dents because it had been packed lying on the strap. I asked for an exchange and the second bag arrived with dents and a small scratch, so it went back, too. I like it but I agree with your remarks re quality, especially at that price. And thanks for highlighting the lining issue.

Honestly because it has no branding a lot of people have been saying that, outside of the softness of the leather, you can get pretty much everything you want out of the numerous dupes that are out

Totally get your perspective and I’m totally there. That bag is just too expensive and too dupe-able for the price to add to my collection. The cassette bag with the chain is $4K. You can find a leather version on Amazon for $100. At $4K, we’re steps away from entry level Chanel prices at this point. I love the brand and everything they are doing, but think I’ll just stick to an accessory or two a season and keep it moving. I’m not a logo heaux at all, but I need the original to be distinctive if I’m giving you that type of money. I just bit the bullet and bought the Chanel about a month ago. And although a little piece of my soul died giving them that kind of money, I don’t regret it because I will have that bag forever. No question. I just don’t have the kind of funds to spend on a bag that likely won’t be classic. But fashion is fun and I still appreciate ppl who bite the bullet and live for the now and don’t worry about the future. That in itself is a truly free way to think about fashion and there is nothing wrong with that either.

Totally! There are so many ways this season to look Bottega ready without paying for it. All the woven sandals and mini bags. The little mini Furla line might be in my radar cause it has a label! Haha

Yep. I completely agree. I found one identical to this in leather for less than a hundred dollars. At that price you could have one just for the heck of it. If it only lasts a year, no big deal.

Have you looked into the non padded version? It has a simple magnetic closure, so no scratching and easier to use.

I recently signed up for a monthly purse rental program through Vivrelle and I rented the large Bottega pouch and was obsessed!! I am on the waitlist for one of the non padded bags. I have also rented some Chanel and YSL so best of all worlds! haha

Really interesting take! I'm not sure how I feel about their modern padded take on the intercaccio, it's like it's trying too hard? I feel like the classic intercaccio is timeless and there are so many styles, and the quality of the construction is there. I'm tempted to look into getting a Chanel, yet... I listened to a podcast that revealed some unsavory facts about Coco related to WWII. It's too bad.

I have the Bottega Cassette in this color, and I really enjoy it. The closer is unique, but easy to get use to it. I love the color, very neutral, it’s pretty easy for me to style. I’m sorry that this handbag didn’t work out for you.

I considered the Cassette and just posted a review on my channel. but mostly I wanted the mini Jodie - how cute is that, I always wanted a bottega for my 30s. same story with 2 kids and hands free moments, so no for the Jodie.. considering one of the new clutches of theirs now, they are super cute, or maybe the Pouch because I seem to grow onto it the nicest about the padded Cassette is the triangle and for styling you have to be very casual

Even tho I love the padded cassette,that wouldn’t be my first choice if I have to buy something from bottega. For that price point I rather the regular cassete,or belt cassette,or arco tote,they are all cheaper then the padded cassette,and they look a bit more “classic” to me.the padded cassette is too trendy,it’s not something you will going around in 2/3 years from now.also does not have that much space.and you are right,if it gets dirty or with a stain,you probably gonna need to send it to the their atelier(in Italy) and since it’s the only one in the world,you gonna stay aroun 2/3 months without the bag.and obviously you have to pay for the cleaning. Anyway great video,keep it up.

I'm watching this 3 months after you posted, but I hope you went with the Chanel. I loveee old Bottega though.. nobody does the small wovens like that. They were doing dusty colors, before it was even cool. I hope more people will sell theirs so i can buy it. People sell your old Bottegas..it's soo ugly 🤮 👎👎.

The pouch is not an original idea. The padded cassette looks like something from a museum gift shop. The chain cassette takes inspo from fast fashion, not the other way around. I hate Bottega Veneta. It feels so good to say it.
