Every few months our local facilities get filled with animals from individual rescuers doing it out their home who become overwhelmed and underfunded to the point where it becomes an actual health and even hoarding issue. It's good to see someone doing it right.

Other rescues make a list of things they need like food, formula, hay, pee pads etc. And people are kind enough to send it from themselves, Amazon etc... Some rescues even have live camera when once a week they open them, they love when you're opening their donation.

It was probably just waiting in a safe place for its mama, they leave their babies while they look for food to keep them safe from predators so the lil babies are often just sitting in random locations waiting

@shaeisgae8952 absolutely. My MIL was in the buggy ahead of us and saw the mother dash off. We were careful not to disturb the baby and were glad to see it had gone when we came back down. I couldn't help but feel bad tho, we passed so close and our motors had to have scared the living daylights out of the poor thing

Mushrooms can be tricky to ID. They will look very different based on what it is growing on and the environment. One good way to ID them is a spore print. Please take note of what it is growing on. Get a mushroom book to help you ID them. Take a spore print.

We babysit single and twin fawns each year, when Mama leaves them in our yard and comes back later. We have little dead or bare spots in the grass where each lays until Mom returns. As they get bigger they move around a little and sometimes eat the landscaping or garden. I think we must have hosted several generations of Mothers and fawns over the years.
