Thank you for sharing your experience Dr. Howflinger. I'm currently a medical student finishing my studies in Portugal and applying to a neurosurgery residency in Switzerland. I keep watching your videos and they motivate me to continue pursuing this hard path but I'm sure it will be worth it. Pls keep posting and thank you for all the lives you have saved until now

So true what you experienced as you did a really traumatic event in your brothers life and now you are a Neurosurgeon. I advocated for Mental Health Care in my community and ran a Depression Support Group for 25 years and am still vocal about Mental Health care among my friends. I felt there was little to no support in churches at that time. So I prayed about it and then started the group

Powerful testimony as to the path we walk and how we’re all intricately attached to the same fibers of cloth whether we’re the top, bottom, front or back of that cloth.

That force is God. I know science and medicine can’t stomach the idea of their being God. Look at Francis Collin’s though - he tried to refute God and could not.

This may seem off topic a lil bit but as you are a neurosurgeon and routinely deal with life threatening surgeries, I couldn’t help but wonder if you’ve ever had patients that told you they had an nde and if so what are your thoughts? I’m a new subscriber so if you’ve already touched on this I apologize.

Yes, "the force" you mentioned is God.

I still think my life doesn't matter. There are people who feel otherwise but who can prove they are correct and I am incorrect. People feel what they feel whether there is an objective basis for those feelings or not. I know of no objective basis for concluding that my life matters. Matters to whom? Or matters for what? All answers are based on biased, prejudiced feelings.
@doctorhoeflinger9 ай бұрын
You are correct. Those that think their life matters are correct and those that don’t think their life matters are correct also. It’s an individual’s perspective on life that matters. No matter what you think, your interaction with others will definitely make a difference in shaping the future good or bad.

What this physician makes is immaterial to the content of this video. More important, it's none of your business! I don't think you would ask that kind of question to the doctor's face. The internet wasn't meant to provide a veil of incognito that would allow people to be rude. Many will say I should not meddle but we all should have an interest in promoting civility in public forums and also in recognizing and promoting kindness and empathy like this neurosurgeon's when we see it. I noticed the perfunctory "sir" or maybe you meant it sarcastically but just adding that word does not make your comment appropriate or civil. At least it didn't in the world I come from.

He Is a Neurosurgeon with years of experience and is very compassionate with a lot of empathy. He makes way more than that for sure!
